: The Institute of Fashion Technology has announced NIFT Exam Date 2026 on the official website-
exams.nta.nic.in. The
online registration process for UG and PG programs has already started and will end on
January 6, 2026
. As per the date announced, the examination will be held on
February 8, 2026
. The examination will be held in online mode for GAT and offline mode for CAT. Candidates can check out the complete schedule and exam pattern to help them make a strategic plan for exam preparation.

NIFT 2026 Exam Pattern
Candidates can check out NIFT 2026 Exam Pattern below:
- The NIFT examination total marks for BDES will be 100 for GAT and 100 for CAT.
- The GAT examination will be conducted in computer-based mode, while the CAT test will be conducted in paper-based mode.
- Each test, GAT and CAT, will have a total of 100 questions.
- The question paper will be available in both Hindi and English.
- Objective-type questions will have negative marking, with 25% of the total marks deducted for each wrong answer.
- The question paper will consist of two sections: Section A and B, along with a Situation Test.
- Section A will comprise 30% of the paper, while the Situation Test will comprise 30%, and GAT will comprise 50% of the paper, but it was mentioned earlier that GAT is Section A which is 30% doesn't seem right, another mention was GAT will be 50% of the paper.
