NIT Patna Conducting CSAB NEUT 2016 Counselling till August 6

NIT Patna is conducting spot round admission for engineering / architecture for the students belonging to eight North Eastern States and three Union Territories, 2016 under Central Seat Allotment Board (CSAB). The admission will be on the basis of candidates’ JEE Main 2016 All India Ranks. As per the schedule, the spot round has already started from July 31 and will come to the conclusion on 6 August.

The admissions will be given to additional seats, which are other than those offered through CSAB 2016 (IIITs & GFTIs and NITs,). Seats will be offered to the candidates in order of their choice, which they have filled during online choice filling. It will also depend on their merit as per All India Rank and availability of seats in their respective branch /categories/institutes.

After getting the seat on the allotment, all the candidates will have to report in person at their respective reporting centre of States and Union Territory as per schedule within the specified time period. Along with all the relevant documents including caste/category certificate if applicable, candidates have to submit the non-refundable seat allotment fee of Rs 2000, through Demand Draft drawn in favour of NIT Patna CSAB 2016.

Besides that, for verification, the candidates will have to produce the relevant certificates and corresponding printouts of locked choices & provisional allotment letter at the reporting centre.

The eight North Eastern states are -

Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura

The four Union Territories are-

Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Lakshadweep.
