The situation has been propelled to this stage because Dr. Ajay Kumar Singh, the founder of FAIMA, tried meeting, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, the honorable health minister of India, twice but was denied an audience. He wanted to highlight the challenges NEET PG applicants are facing owing to the set eligibility criteria and request to postpone NEET PG 2023 exam. However, Dr. Ajay was only able to meet some other health ministry officials who claimed that TCS - the online exam conducting body - does not have any available dates until September, which will be too late to hold the entrance test. Students are only seeking a delay in NEET PG 2023 exams by 6-8 weeks, thus, leading to NEET PG 2023 postponement entering a deadlock situation.

To reach out to more people and garner support to postpone NEET PG 2023 exams, students stormed Twitter with hashtags such as #PostponeNEETPG2023, #ResignMansukhMandaviya, and #WeWantBackDrHarshwardhan. As a next step, protests at Jantar Mantar will be held on February 7, 2023.

The uncertainty around NEET PG 2023 postponement still looms large. Students, however, have been asked to continue their studies for NEET PG exams and urged to not let their learning schedule get affected by the same primarily because the entrance test is scheduled to be held on March 5, 2023. The final decision regarding postpone NEET PG 2023 is awaited.
