While speaking at an event in Lucknow, the Union HRD minister Prakash Javadekar explained to the people on why it is important to keep revising the syllabus.
During his talk, he emphasised on bringing in new and modern technology to improve facilities provided to the students. He mentioned upgrading to well equipped labs and the need to modernise the syllabus in order to make India focus on research work.
He pointed out that Indians have done a marvellous work all over the world and are actively participating in various research activities. However, when it comes to innovating and inventing stuff, stats show that not many Indians have been able to get patents registered in their names.
Giving research, key importance, he mentioned how Modi’s government is focusing on research work and promoting research by initiating various research fellowships in the country.
