Purnea University is yet to declare the results of Part III examinations (final-year UG course). The delay in the announcement of final-year UG results by Purnea University has turned to be a big discomfort for the PG aspirants. Most of the students who have appeared for final-year UG exams at Purnea University are not able to apply for PG courses due to delay in the publication of results. The fate of these students is still uncertain as there is no clarity on the publication of Part III results.
According to sources, almost 33,000 students are waiting for final-year UG results of Purnea University. The constant tussle between Purnea University and B N Mandal University (BNMU) is one of the major reasons for the delay in the announcement of results.
As per the sources, Purnea University owes dues of around Rs. 3 crores to B.N. Mandal University. The varsity has to pay the fees deposited by the students while filling the forms for various exams conducted by BNMU. Purnea University was created on March 18, 2018, and parent university, i.e., BNMU was supposed to clear all the backlog of examinations. Whatever the exam fees submitted by the students of Purnea University was not duly transferred to BNMU.
Demanding the varsity to publish the results immediately, many students staged a protest on August 20, 2019. One of the agitating students said that students are struggling to get admission postgraduate courses.

Even though Purnea University allowed students to apply online for the PG courses for the upcoming academic session. However, the admission process is getting delayed due to the delay in the announcement of final-year UG results. Unless the Purnea University settles the arrears of exam fee to BMNU, the issue will not be resolved.
