Researchers not getting the benefit of e-journals, which has costs millions.

At one side in the country universities promote access to e-journals for high-level research, but on the other side in MLSU (Mohan Lal Sukadiyha University) Udaipur , e-journals of billions not being able to access.

University Grants Commission (UGC) provided over 750 e-journals which is available on the website of the university whose price about Rs 5 crore, but in the absence of information researchers not able to take benefits of these journals.

University completed its responsibility to increase the use of e-journals by organizing some workshops on it, but now the plan is on hold. By promoting the use of e-journals new dimensions can be given to the research. There are no training provided yet by the university to use the e-journals for researchers.

University was planned to prevent the tradition of Copy-paste in PHD and also planned to share the researches with other universities. In this plan research material was uploaded to the software named “SHODH GANGA”. The work has not started even after one year. Use of journals improves the quality of research.

Uses of journals are increasing: - Pro. Venugopalan, Dean, College of Science said that,Research content is under the process of scanning, the sooner they will be uploaded on the website. Periodically workshops are organized for use of e-journals, by these uses of journals is growing.
