The Administrative Officer of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge and Technologies (RGUKT), Mr. Srihari announced that the notifications seeking admissions into 6 years long integrated B. Tech programme has been released on 26th April 2019 on the official website.

Mr.Srihari told that the application procedure will begin from 29th April 2019 after the release of admission notifications to the course. The last date to submit the application form online as well in offline mode is 24th May 2019. The merit list of the shortlisted candidates would be declared on 10th June 2019.

Admission to the first year Integrated B.Tech programme shall be carried out on merit basis on Grade Point Average (GPA) and marks scored in each subject of Class 10th, also considering the state quota reservation. The institute will also offer Sanskrit as a second language instead of Telugu as some student face difficulty in learning the language.

Adding to the welfare of economically backward students, a deprivation score of 0.4 as directed by the govt. for the academic year, 2019-20 will be added to the CGPA of class 10. The applicants who have studied in non-residential govt. schools including municipal schools, Zilla Parishad and model schools are eligible to take the benefit of this rule.

As per the AP Reorganisation Act in 2014, 85 per cent of the total seats available will be reserved for local students and the remaining 15 per cent of the unreserved seats will be occupied by the meritorious candidates from both the state of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Also, supernumerary seats to maximum 5 per cent are available for the candidates belonging to other states other than Andra Pradesh and Telangana and students residing across the globe. The seats which are not occupied in this section will be filled by the local candidates. However, they will have to pay Rs. 1.37 lakh annually. This cost includes tuition, mess, examination, hostel and laptop fee besides others will be based on merit. Additionally, a total of 2 per cent supernumerary seats which are available for international or NRI students will have to pay Rs 3.01 lakh per annum.
