Selection Process and Counselling Process after IPU CET M.Tech

The Indraprastha University conducts IPU CET M.Tech exam for admission in M.Tech programme offered by various colleges affiliated to it.

Selection Process:-

• You will primarily have to qualify the eligibility criteria set by IPU for admission to M.Tech programme.
• Other than the eligibility criteria, selection is done on the basis of IPU CET M.tech entrance exam.
• It takes GATE score as well as IPU CET qualified (for Non-GATE) candidates.
• You are invited for the admission process and counselling depending on the number of M.tech seats available in the university.
• A final merit list is prepared on the basis of IPU CET M.Tech exam basis which the seats will be allocated.

Counselling Process:-
The counseling of IPU CET will be conducted after the declaration of the IPU CET Result. If you qualify the IPU CET then you can participate in the counselling process. IPU CET Counselling will be conducted in both online and offline mode. You are advised to check important details in the list given below:

Offline Counselling Procedure:-

• You should reporting at the notified venue in along with the required documents.
• The counseling process fee is Rs 1000. You will required to pay the fee immediately on the spot at the time of counseling.
• Firstly,you will be called in order of qualified & valid GATE Score/Merit first, and if seats remain vacant, then on the basis of CET merit / rank for all programmes other than M.Tech. Biotechnology for which only GATE qualified candidates with valid score are eligible.
• If you fail to appear in counseling you will lose your seat.
• Students who are allotted seats in the first counselling may change the programme/ institute during the second counseling. Students need to deposit an additional amount of Rs. 5000 in the form of a fresh demand draft.
• Admission will be made strictly on merit basis. Once all the seats are filled up, the counseling/ admission process will be stopped.
• The students having taken admission in second counselling would not be allowed to change the programme/institute in the subsequent days of 2nd Counselling.

Online Counselling Procedure:-

The procedure of online counseling process of IPU CET is mentioned below.

• The Counselling process fee is Rs. 1000.
• You have to pay the Counselling process fee through challan or through Net Banking / Credit card and Debit Card.
• After the payment of fee, you will required to register online within the registration period notified to the you.
• For Registration, you have to enter your CET details and after authentication, you have to enter your personal, academic and contact details (with address, mobile no. & email ID).
• After submitting the details a login id and password will be generated by the system.
• You will require to take two print outs of the registration form.
• You are advised to check all the filled details before taking the print out.
• You will have to submit one copy of the registration form at the time of document verification and the other copy has to be retained by the you for all future reference.
