Prof. (Dr.) Mool Chand Sharma, distinguished Professor of Law in University of Delhi and the Founder Vice Chancellor of Central University of Haryana, is widely known amongst scholars and legal fraternity more as a thought activist, institution-builder and a teacher who inspires and motivates.

Prof. Sharma during his various scientific, research and academic associations include- Vice-Chairperson, University Grants Commission (UGC); Director, National Law Institute University, Bhopal; Senior Research Advisor, National Human Rights Commission; Expert Legal Advisor, Law Commission of India; National Commission for Women; National Research Advisor, Ford Foundation, India; Joint Registrar of Research, Supreme Court of India. Being on number of task force Committees constituted for providing inputs to national policies on complex issues testifies his deep understanding of interplay amongst finer nuances of Democracy; Rule of Law; Diversity and Development and Distributive Justice; Human Rights Jurisprudence; Education for building an Inclusive Democracy. Currently he is a Fulltime Member of Law Commission of India, New Delhi
