New Skill Training Programmes Launched on 4th Anniversary of Skills India Mission

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has recently celebrated the 4th anniversary of the Skills India Mission with various High-ranking Government officials. Various degrees and memorandum of understanding were signed between the government and private parties to promote the cause.

New Skill Training Programmes Launched on 4th Anniversary of Skills India Mission

On 15th July 2019, The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) had celebrated on the 4th anniversary of the Skills India Mission. The event was held with many high ranking government officials present to celebrate the proud moment. The event witnessed the launch of various programmes as well as many agreements and partnership being formed between the government and private parties to promote the Skills India Mission.

The Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, who attended the celebration as the chief guest at the event, urged the students and the youth of India, to follow their passion and what they have always dreamed off. With the new educational and paths for the enhancement of the skills of the Indian youth, she assured the youth that following their passion in the field of work that they always wished to work in will be easier than it has ever bee. She urges the youth of the country to take advantage of the facilities and opportunities that have been provided by the Government of India for the betterment of the country.

During the event, different programmes, as well as MoUs, had been signed between the Government and the private sector companies and institutions. Sources state a Kaushal Yuva Samvaad was also held during the event. This particular segment focused on conducting a discourse on the various problems and/or issues that have been faced by the youth and the job seekers in the country. There was a two-week consulting programme where the youth as well as the job-seekers of the country, spoke out their issues and views on certain parameters and factors that affected the entire employment situation of the country. The discourse will help the government to bring in the necessary changes and courses that will, in turn, result in the betterment of the economy of India.

A team of 48 skilled youth has also been introduced, who will be participating in the World Youth Skills International Competition which has been set to to be held between 22nd August - 28 August 2019 in the country of Russia. The event was also a platform to introduce the launch of new programmes such as the Degree Apprenticeship Programme which has been made in partnership with industries and educational institutions. As per the agreement, the programme will be embedded in the 3 or 4-year degree programmes of the Universities and provide the students with the practical knowledge, as well as the skills, they require in the field.
