NIT Patna is going to organize a three-day workshop on ‘Smart Antennas and Space-time Adaptive Processing’. The workshop is going to be organized from March 28 – April 1, 2016.
The smart antenna technique uses multi-element antenna where signals at each antenna element are combined intelligently to find the direction of target signals. The signal is steered towards the target antenna through beamforming method.
There will be a detailed course on the same topic and method is being introduced to increase awareness about it. new concept and will be detailed in the course. Examples would be given to demonstrate the fruitfulness of the method. After showing the example, discussions would be made on beam steering antennas. The engineers and researchers or the students or faculty who belong to technical institutions can attend the workshop.
There is a Rs 1000 participation fee for students and Rs 5000 participation fee for the teachers. The Private Industry’s representatives can participate after paying Rs. 10000 for registration.
The fee would include all instructional materials, a working lunch, and computer use for the tutorials, and internet facility. The participants will be also being provided with accommodation on payment basis. The part-time Ph. D students would not be allowed to register as regular students.
