The new upcoming SRM University in the people's capital city of Andhra Pradesh, SRM Amravati has started to work with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) of United States (US) for designing its course curriculum by using the MITx courses.
The courses will include the concepts of hybrid learning through the use of both traditional and technologically enabled teaching techniques. These courses will include circuits and electronics, electricity and magnetism, classical mechanics, calculus, computer science and programming, etc.

President of SRM University, AP – Amaravati, Dr P Satyanarayana shared the vision of the new university. He said that the university aims to develop a new learning method of learning which is not yet implemented in India, focusing on practical and application oriented learning through lab courses and projects rather than lectures given in the classrooms. He added that they intend to create a top world class environment for the students and help them built brighter tomorrow.
SRM is currently partnering with other best international universities from the United States, United Kingdom and Singapore for campus design and infrastructure, educational method and philosophy and recruitment of faculty and leadership. The university will be able to focus on both pure and applied research areas of space technology, nanotechnologies, IoT, renewable energy, blue economy and much more with the help and support from these reputed international institutes.

Vice Chancellor of SRM University - Amaravati, Dr Narayana Rao explained that it is essential for the progress of the state and the country to develop research led universities and the University aims to achieve the same by obtaining solutions to the problems that affects today’s world.
This university will eventually expand from an engineering centred Institute to an integrated multi-disciplinary varsity providing courses in liberal arts, management, pure sciences, medical sciences and law.
