Kota has been one of the go-to places for engineering and medical aspirants for years as of now, for coaching institutes. Many students across India have migrated to Kota to help them with their aspirations in becoming an engineer or join the medical line of career. However, one of the major criticisms that the students have raised during their stay at Kota, is the lack of necessary infrastructure.
Many students have been demanding the government to build foot over-bridges and/or flyovers which will help the students in crossing major highways, roads and intersections. Students have stated that it has become a routine for them to cross dangerous roads and highways and risk their lives crossing roads to reach their coaching institutes.
In a statement made by the secretary of Urban Improvement Trust in Kota, Bhawani Singh Palawat stated that they have set up various infrastructures and facilities near the coaching centres in Kota. Bhawani also added that a survey has been initiated for the foot over-bridge near Jhalawar Road where a famous coaching centre is located.
The students have also been asking for recreational facilities like playgrounds and parks near the coaching centre. The students state that after the hectic classes that they attend, they need an area for resting and relaxing. Many experts have also recommended setting up various centres for counselling by the government, so as to reduce the number of students who suffer from depression and anxiety will be able to take help and guidance from experts.
