Tamil Nadu School Holiday Update 1 December 2025: Cyclone Ditwah is going to make landfall on November 30, which might improve the weather conditions in Tamil Nadu after December 1. However, there is a chance for heavy rains in at least 6 districts till the early hours of December 1. The Government of Tamil Nadu declared a holiday for all schools on November 28 due to heavy rains. IMD predicted rains in Tamil Nadu till December 2. As there is a chance for heavy rains in a few districts of Tamil Nadu till December 1, a decision on school holiday shall be taken by the district collectors. Tiruvallur, Cuddalore, Ranipettai, Chennai, Kancheepuram and Ramananthapuram are under alert for heavy rains till the night of November 30 and early hours of December 1. If there is a flood-like situation or heavy rain during the early hours of December 1, a decision on the school holiday shall be taken.
