Emergency crews are on standby with pumps ready for low‑lying areas.
Fishermen are warned not to venture into the sea, with a total suspension of fishing operations over the southwest and adjoining west‑central Bay of Bengal, as well as along the coasts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, the Gulf of Mannar, the Comorin area, and northern Sri Lanka until the morning of December 2, 2025. Anyone already at sea should stay clear of these zones until the suspension is lifted.
