Teachers Union Urge Govt to Revise TG SSC Exam Dates 2026Teachers Union Urge Govt to Revise TG SSC Exam Dates 2026: As per the announced TG SSC Exam Dates 2026, the examinations are scheduled to be held from March 14 to April 16, 2026, covering a span of one month. The timetable includes six major subjects along with vocational and OSSC papers. The exams will begin with Telugu or the Composite Course on March 14, followed by Hindi on March 18 and English on March 23. Mathematics is scheduled for March 28, while Physical Science and Biological Science will take place on April 2 and April 7, respectively. Social Studies will be conducted on April 13. Additionally, the SSC Vocational or OSSC Main Language Paper I is scheduled for April 15, followed by OSSC Main Language Paper II on April 16, 2026.
However, various teachers’ unions have raised objections to this schedule. Leaders from NTUTS and TTF issued separate statements on December 9 expressing dissatisfaction, stating that the month-long examination pattern seems to have been adopted to mirror the structure used by the CBSE. They argued that such an extended schedule could create logistical challenges, including complications related to question-paper storage and evaluation procedures.
Union leaders also emphasized the difficulties students may face due to the severe heat during April, which could negatively affect their performance. NTUTS State President Sadanandangoud and General Secretary Kalsat Gajender urged the government to reconsider and shorten the examination period to ten days. Similarly, DTF State President M. Somaiya and General Secretary T. Lingareddy voiced concern that spreading the exams across an entire month may lead to increased stress and pressure on students.
