Technical Glitch Affects DU UG Online Application Process 2019

Many students faced technical glitches to register on the Delhi University's online portal. Students informed that there was a delay in receiving the OTP.

Students faced various technical issues while registering for DU Admissions 2019 on the admission portal. The students complained that there was a delay in receiving the OTP and the online calculator was not working. properly. Last year also there were many technical problems during the DU admission process.

The online calculator which is a new feature on the DU Admission Portal was not working properly. One of the parents said that the online calculator started picking up the random marks and gave a wrong percentage. There was a delay in receiving the OTP as well. One of the parents informed that they did not get the OTP during the 15-minute mandatory time and its a cause of worry as they are not sure whether they will be able to register again on the website with the same email ID.

Last year as well DU admission process for the vacant seats after the fifth cut-off list was halted for 30 hours due to a technical problem. The candidates who registered for DU admissions 2016 were to be offered fresh application option for the vacant seats till 26-July-2016. The application window was supposed to open on 24-July-2016. Due to a technical problem, the application window opened at 3.00 PM on 25-July-2016.

SDeputy Dean of Student's Welfare, Mr. Gurpreet Singh mentioned that the technical issue has occurred due to a misconception between the admission committee and admission portal committee. The technical issues have been fixed and the process of admission is going on in a brisk phase. The pre-registered candidates for DU admissions can register for vacant seats now.

Some of the officials mentioned that these type of technical issues are common in the process of admission. They mentioned that from the next year the online admissions of DU will be conducted more effectively.
