Telangana NEET UG 2026 Merit List LIVE Updates

  • 10 00 PM IST - 19 Aug'26

Army College of Dental Sciences Seats

Admissions for the Army College of Dental Sciences (ACDS), Secunderabad, are conducted through the KNRUHS counselling portal. Specific eligibility rules apply to children of serving or retired Army personnel, alongside general merit guidelines for management quota dental seats.

  • 09 00 PM IST - 19 Aug'26

Seat Matrix Publication Before Web Options

KNRUHS will release the finalized seat matrix showing category-wise seat availability across all medical and dental colleges before web options open. Candidates should review the seat matrix to align their options with available quotas.

  • 08 00 PM IST - 19 Aug'26

    Discontinuation Fee Penalty Enforced Strictly

KNRUHS enforces a strict seat discontinuation penalty for candidates who surrender their seats after the specified exit deadline. Surrendering a seat late results in a heavy monetary fine and suspension from participating in state medical admissions for subsequent years.

  • 07 30 PM IST - 19 Aug'26

    Final Cutoff Depends On Counselling

The final Telangana NEET UG 2026 cutoff will ultimately depend on the last candidate allotted a seat in a particular college, category, quota, and counselling phase. Until that process concludes, no exact final cutoff can be confirmed. Candidates should therefore focus first on the merit list and Round 1 allotment before concluding final admission possibilities.

  • 07 00 PM IST - 19 Aug'26

    Bond Conditions for Government Seats

Candidates admitted to government medical colleges must execute a service bond upon admission. The bond mandates a period of compulsory rural or government service post-graduation, with financial penalties enforced if candidates default on their service commitment.

  • 06 30 PM IST - 19 Aug'26

    Merit List Summary Statistics Expected

Alongside the final merit list, KNRUHS will release summary statistics detailing total verified candidates, category distributions, and gender ratios. These analytics provide valuable transparency regarding competitive dynamics across various reservation pools for the current academic session.

  • 06 00 PM IST - 19 Aug'26

    Documents Needed at College Reporting

When reporting to assigned colleges, candidates must submit original NEET admit cards, rank cards, Class 10/12 certificates, study certificates, TC, caste/EWS certificates, and government-issued photo IDs. Attested photocopies and fee receipts are also mandatory.

  • 05 30 PM IST - 19 Aug'26

    Total Registered Candidates Await Ranking

Following the registration deadline, thousands of candidates await the publication of the provisional merit list. The verified rank list will determine the academic future of medical aspirants vying for top state institutions.

  • 05 00 PM IST - 19 Aug'26

Impact of All India Quota (AIQ)

The completion of Round 1 AIQ counselling by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) impacts state merit dynamics. Top state rankers who secure seats in central institutes through AIQ often exit the state quota pool, lowering local closing ranks in Round 2.

  • 04 30 PM IST - 19 Aug'26

    Fee Payment Gateways Verified Safe

KNRUHS integration with online payment gateways allows secure processing of registration fees. Candidates are advised to keep transaction receipts, payment IDs, and confirmation pages saved for physical reporting and verification steps.

  • 04 00 PM IST - 19 Aug'26

KNRUHS Mobile & Web Portal Security

KNRUHS uses multi-factor authentication for web option submission and document portals. Candidates are strictly advised not to share login credentials, roll numbers, or OTPs with external agencies to avoid unauthorized modifications to their college options list.

  • 03 30 PM IST - 19 Aug'26

    Score Compression Effects on Ranks

Due to highly competitive scores nationwide, state ranks reflect score compression, where multiple candidates share identical marks. This trend underscores the importance of the university's tie-breaker rules in determining individual rank positions on the final merit list.

  • 03 00 PM IST - 19 Aug'26

    Importance of Class 6-12 Certificates

Study certificates from Class 6 to Class 12 serve as the primary proof for determining local candidate status in Telangana. Candidates who completed the maximum number of schooling years within the state are assigned local status, granting them priority under the state quota merit system.

  • 02 30 PM IST - 19 Aug'26

    NRI Category C Seat Guidelines

Category-C seats reserved for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and sponsored candidates require submission of valid NRI documents, embassy certificates, and sponsorship affidavits. Verification of these credentials occurs before opening web options for Category-C.

  • 02 00 PM IST - 19 Aug'26

    Delay Beyond August 25 Possible

On or before August 25 is a reasonably expected date; a later release cannot be ruled out. Administrative processing, revised schedules, technical issues, or changes in the national counselling timeline could affect Telangana's schedule. Candidates should therefore avoid making irreversible admission decisions based solely on an expected date and should wait for official KNRUHS communication.

  • 01 30 PM IST - 19 Aug'26

    Local Reservation Policy Upheld

State authorities continue to enforce the 85% local reservation policy across all competent authority medical seats. Legal updates surrounding local domicile definitions remain under close state administrative monitoring to ensure seamless admission processing without legal delays.

  • 01 00 PM IST - 19 Aug'26

Merit Rank And NEET Rank Differ

The NEET All India Rank and Telangana state merit position are not necessarily interchangeable. The state list is prepared for Telangana counselling using applicable state-level eligibility and candidate data. Candidates should record both ranks and use the correct one when assessing counselling opportunities. Confusing the two can lead to incorrect assumptions about college-wise admission chances.

  • 12 30 PM IST - 19 Aug'26

    Helpline Desks Active for Candidates

KNRUHS has activated technical and administrative support desks for registration and merit list queries. Candidates encountering technical glitches, payment failures, or verification issues can submit complaints via the designated email and helpline numbers published on the main website.

  • 12 00 PM IST - 19 Aug'26

    Minority Colleges Need Special Attention

Candidates considering minority medical institutions should carefully examine applicable eligibility and seat-category rules. Minority seats can follow distinct allocation conditions, particularly where specific community eligibility applies. Therefore, a general Telangana NEET cutoff cannot automatically be used for every seat in such colleges. Aspirants should read the relevant KNRUHS notification before selecting these institutions.

  • 11 30 AM IST - 19 Aug'26

    Management Quota Follows Different Pattern

Management-quota counselling can follow different eligibility, fee, and merit considerations from competent-authority quota admissions. Candidates should not combine the two datasets while predicting college cutoffs. KNRUHS notifications and the applicable prospectus should be consulted for the relevant category. Historical management-quota closing ranks can be useful, but they should be interpreted separately from state-quota trends.

  • 11 00 AM IST - 19 Aug'26

Private Medical Colleges Need Separate Analysis

Telangana private medical colleges should be analysed separately since their fee structures and seat categories can differ considerably. A candidate's willingness and ability to accept a particular fee structure may directly influence the effective competition. Therefore, college-wise cutoff analysis should include the relevant seat category instead of combining all private medical seats into one broad cutoff estimate.

  • 10 30 AM IST - 19 Aug'26

    Government Seat Demand Remains High

Telangana Government medical seats generally attract strong demand because of their comparatively lower fee burden and established academic infrastructure. Consequently, popular government colleges may close at stronger ranks than many private institutions. Candidates should analyse each college individually, considering both category-specific competition and available seats before estimating their chances for Telangana MBBS admission.

  • 10 00 AM IST - 19 Aug'26

    Merit List May See Corrections

KNRUHS can issue corrections or revised lists if discrepancies are identified after publication. Candidates should therefore continue checking official notifications even after downloading the initial merit list. If a revised PDF appears, the latest official version should be treated as authoritative. Aspirants should avoid relying indefinitely on copies circulated through coaching groups or unofficial social-media accounts.

  • 09 00 AM IST - 19 Aug'26

Do Not Depend On One College

Candidates should avoid building their entire Telangana counselling strategy around one institution. Even strong NEET performers can face unexpected competition because demand changes each year. Including multiple colleges can protect candidates against sudden cutoff increases. The final choice list should reflect realistic admission possibilities while preserving the candidate's genuine preference order across available institutions.

  • 08 00 AM IST - 19 Aug'26

    Choice Filling Requires Careful Planning

The release of the merit list should be followed by careful choice planning. Candidates should research government and private medical colleges, understand seat categories, and arrange preferences logically. A poorly ordered choice list can affect allotment even when a candidate has a competitive rank. Aspirants should therefore finalise preferences only after understanding the relevant counselling rules.

  • 07 00 AM IST - 19 Aug'26

Merit List Could Trigger Next Steps

Once the Telangana merit list is published, the eligible candidates should immediately check the counselling instructions for the next activity. Depending on the official schedule, this may involve choice filling or other counselling formalities. Candidates should not wait until the final hours because technical issues, payment problems, or portal traffic can interfere with timely submission.

  • 06 00 AM IST - 19 Aug'26

    Local Status Can Influence Eligibility

State counselling eligibility and local-area considerations can be significant in Telangana admissions. Candidates should carefully read the applicable counselling notification before interpreting their merit position. A candidate's NEET rank alone does not establish every aspect of state-quota eligibility. Documents supporting local status and other eligibility requirements may therefore become important during the admission process.

  • 05 00 AM IST - 19 Aug'26

    Category-Wise Cutoff Tracking Essential

Candidates should track cutoff trends according to their applicable category. Telangana counselling can have different competition patterns across categories, making an overall cutoff less informative. Aspirants should identify the relevant category-specific closing ranks and compare them with their state merit position. This approach offers a more realistic assessment of potential colleges than relying on a single general cutoff figure.

  • 04 00 AM IST - 19 Aug'26

    Cutoffs Reflect Candidate Preferences

College-wise closing ranks are influenced not only by academic competition but also by candidate preferences. A college receiving more high-ranked preferences may close earlier. Conversely, institutions with fewer preferences may remain available at comparatively lower ranks. This is why historical closing ranks should be interpreted alongside reputation, location, fees, infrastructure, and seat availability rather than treated as isolated numbers.

  • 03 00 AM IST - 19 Aug'26

    Grievance Redressal Mechanism Detailed Online

After the provisional merit list is published, KNRUHS will open a grievance submission link. Candidates noticing discrepancies in their name, category, or merit rank can upload supporting evidence online. University officials resolve these representations before finalizing the rank list.

  • 02 00 AM IST - 19 Aug'26

    Total BDS Seat Matrix Details

Dental admissions across Telangana account for over 1,100 seats across government and private dental colleges. Cutoff scores for BDS seats under Category-A are significantly lower than those for MBBS seats, providing alternative medical career pathways for qualified candidates scoring between 450 and 520 marks.

  • 01 00 AM IST - 19 Aug'26

    Total MBBS Seats Under KNRUHS

The KNRUHS will likely fill 5,000 MBBS seats across government and private medical institutions via Telangana NEET UG counselling 2026. Around 85% of government seats are reserved strictly for state-domiciled candidates, whereas private colleges divide intake into Category-A (state quota), Category-B (management quota), and Category-C (NRI quota).

  • 12 00 AM IST - 19 Aug'26

    Category-wise Telangana NEET Cutoff 2026

The expected general category cutoff marks will be 720-150 (that is, the 50th percentile); whereas the expected cutoff for OBC, SC, and ST categories will likely be 149-115 for each of them (that is, the 40th percentile).

  • 11 00 PM IST - 18 Aug'26

    College Preference Strategy Matters

A strong college preference strategy can improve the probability of obtaining a suitable seat. Candidates should arrange institutions according to genuine preference while maintaining realistic alternatives. Choosing only highly competitive colleges may increase the risk of remaining unallotted. A balanced list covering ambitious, realistic, and safer options can provide greater flexibility during Telangana NEET UG counselling.

  • 11 00 PM IST - 18 Aug'26

    State Rank Can Guide Choices

The Telangana state merit rank can help candidates estimate their position relative to other eligible applicants. However, rank alone does not guarantee admission to a particular college. Seat availability, category, reservation, preferences, and counselling rules remain important. Candidates should use their rank as one component of a broader college-selection strategy rather than treating it as an automatic admission guarantee.

  • 10 00 PM IST - 18 Aug'26

    Candidates Should Verify Every Detail

When the merit list appears, candidates should check their name, NEET roll number, score, rank, category, local status, and other listed details. Any discrepancy should be reported through the procedure specified by KNRUHS. Candidates should save the original PDF and retain a screenshot or downloaded copy for future reference during choice filling and seat allotment activities.

  • 09 00 PM IST - 18 Aug'26

Merit List Release May Follow Processing

KNRUHS may need to complete verification and data processing before publishing the relevant state merit position. This explains why the merit-list release may occur several days after the national Round 1 allotment result. Candidates should avoid automatically interpreting the gap as a delay. Administrative reconciliation and eligibility checks can influence the timing of state counselling publications.

  • 08 30 PM IST - 18 Aug'26

Round One Closing Rank Is Crucial

The Round 1 closing rank will provide one of the strongest early indicators of Telangana NEET UG 2026 college-wise competition. Once allotment data becomes available, candidates can identify how far ranks moved for individual institutions. This information can then be used to refine Round 2 preferences, particularly for candidates who were not allotted their preferred college initially.

  • 08 00 PM IST - 18 Aug'26

    BDS Merit List Also Important

The Telangana NEET UG merit list is relevant not only to MBBS aspirants but also to BDS candidates. Dental colleges have separate seat availability and demand patterns, so their closing ranks may differ substantially from medical colleges. Candidates interested in BDS should analyse dental-college trends independently rather than assuming that MBBS cutoff patterns will directly determine their admission prospects.

  • 07 30 PM IST - 18 Aug'26

    Cutoff May Move Across Rounds

The Telangana NEET UG cutoff is not necessarily fixed after Round 1. Vacant seats, upgrades, withdrawals, newly available seats, and changes in candidate preferences can influence subsequent rounds. Candidates who narrowly miss their preferred college in the first round should therefore continue monitoring later allotments instead of concluding that admission is impossible.

  • 07 00 PM IST - 18 Aug'26

    Top Colleges Need Strong Ranks

Candidates targeting Telangana's most sought-after government medical colleges should expect relatively competitive closing ranks. Higher-ranked institutions usually attract candidates with stronger NEET performance. Nevertheless, the actual 2026 closing rank will only become clear after allotment. Candidates should keep several alternatives in their choice list and assess opportunities according to category, quota, and previous counselling trends.

  • 06 30 PM IST - 18 Aug'26

    State Quota Cutoffs May Differ

Telangana state counselling cutoffs can differ significantly from All India Quota cutoffs. State-level eligibility, local status, category reservations, seat availability, and candidate preferences all affect the final closing position. Therefore, candidates should compare Telangana-specific previous-year data whenever available. Using an AIQ cutoff alone could result in an unrealistic assessment of admission chances under the state counselling process.

  • 06 00 PM IST - 18 Aug'26

    Round One Allotment Gives Context

The NEET UG Round 1 national allotment result can provide useful context for Telangana aspirants. It may indicate how candidates with particular ranks are distributed across participating institutions. However, MCC allotments and Telangana state counselling are separate processes. Candidates should not directly treat MCC closing ranks as Telangana state-quota closing ranks because seat structures and eligibility rules differ.

  • 05 30 PM IST - 18 Aug'26

    Constant Monitoring Becomes Important

Candidates should begin actively checking KNRUHS updates from August 19-20 because the expected merit-list window begins around that period. If the authority follows the anticipated five-to-six-day gap, the list could appear before August 25 as well. Keeping login credentials, application details, and downloaded NEET documents ready will help candidates respond quickly once the state merit list is published.

  • 05 00 PM IST - 18 Aug'26

Merit PDF May Contain Key Details

The Telangana NEET merit list PDF is expected to provide important candidate information used during counselling. Depending on the notification, candidates may find names, NEET-related ranks or scores, state merit positions, category information, and eligibility details. Aspirants should download the document and verify their entries carefully rather than relying on screenshots or unofficial lists circulated through social media.

  • 04 30 PM IST - 18 Aug'26

    Cutoff Analysis Needs Category Context

Any Telangana NEET UG cutoff analysis must specify the candidate's category and applicable quota. A general-category closing rank cannot automatically be applied to reserved-category candidates. Similarly, management-quota admissions follow different considerations. Candidates should compare their individual state merit position against relevant historical category-wise closing trends before finalising their college preference strategy.

  • 04 00 PM IST - 18 Aug'26

    Government Colleges May Remain Competitive

Top Telangana government medical colleges are expected to witness intense competition during state counselling. Candidates with stronger NEET ranks will generally have better opportunities at highly preferred institutions. However, college-wise closing ranks can vary considerably across categories and rounds. Aspirants should therefore prepare multiple college choices instead of depending exclusively on one preferred government medical college.

  • 03 30 PM IST - 18 Aug'26

    College Cutoffs Depend On Merit

Telangana college-wise cutoffs cannot be determined from NEET marks alone. The final closing rank for each institution depends on category, quota, seat availability, candidate preferences, and the counselling round. Therefore, candidates should use previous closing-rank trends as guidance rather than fixed predictions. The first-round allotment pattern will provide a clearer indication of this year's competition.

  • 03 00 PM IST - 18 Aug'26

    State Merit Determines Counselling Position

The Telangana state merit position will become an important reference point for candidates participating in MBBS and BDS counselling. NEET performance forms the core basis, while state eligibility and reservation-related details can influence the final position. Candidates should carefully verify their name, NEET rank, category, local-area information, and other particulars immediately after the merit list PDF becomes available.

  • 02 30 PM IST - 18 Aug'26

    KNRUHS Will Publish State Merit

Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal, conducts Telangana MBBS and BDS counselling. The university prepares the state-level merit list using NEET UG performance and applicable eligibility conditions. Candidates should rely primarily on KNRUHS notifications for the final merit list schedule, because coaching websites and media reports may provide expected dates that can change without prior notice.

  • 02 00 PM IST - 18 Aug'26

    Apollo Institute Jubilee Hills Analysis

Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences, Jubilee Hills, leads private medical college choices under Category-A (Competent Authority Quota). Cutoff scores for state quota seats are projected to be around 585+ marks, attracting candidates who narrowly miss government college cutoffs but prefer top private infrastructure.

  • 01 30 PM IST - 18 Aug'26

    Gandhi Medical College Cutoff Projections

Gandhi Medical College, Secunderabad, continues to attract top rankers in the state quota pool. Admission trends suggest an Open Category closing score above 660, with state merit ranks limited to the top 4,500. Reserved category cutoffs will also experience marginal increases due to high overall candidate scores.

  • 01 00 PM IST - 18 Aug'26

    Kamineni Academy LB Nagar Projections

Kamineni Academy of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, LB Nagar, is expected to see Category-A closing scores around 565 marks. As a top-tier private institution, its proximity to central Hyderabad drives high demand during web option entry for local candidates.

  • 12 30 PM IST - 18 Aug'26

Qualified List And Merit List Differ

Candidates should not confuse the Telangana NEET UG qualified candidate list with the state counselling merit list. KNRUHS has already published Telangana-qualified candidate data, while the counselling merit position is a separate stage. The merit list determines the eligible candidate order for subsequent state counselling activities, making the upcoming publication particularly important for MBBS and BDS aspirants.

  • 12 00 PM IST - 18 Aug'26

    Five-Day Gap Could Define Schedule

A five-day gap between the NEET UG Round 1 allotment result and the Telangana merit list would provide KNRUHS time to process candidate data. If the national allotment result is announced on August 19, the state merit list could emerge around August 24–25. Candidates should therefore treat August 25 as an expected date rather than an officially confirmed deadline.

  • 11 30 AM IST - 18 Aug'26

Telangana Merit List Date Likely by August 25

The Telangana NEET UG 2026 merit list is likely to be released on or before August 25, based on the expected counselling sequence. This timeline would place the state merit list publication approximately five to six days after the NEET UG Round 1 seat allotment result. Candidates should monitor KNRUHS updates closely because the exact release date depends on the completion of MCC AIQ NEET UG Round 1 counselling.
