TISSNET is a National Entrance Test (NET) conducted by Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). As per the previous year trends, TISSNET 2018 to be held on 06 January 2018 and registration for the same began in September.
The examination is conducting in online mode, across the country. The Motive of the examination is to allow admission to various M.A courses offered by TISS Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Guwahati, and Tuljapur. The selected candidates also have to pass the Pre-Interview Test and Personal Interview round. The exam will be conducted at 39 centres which have been covered 4 regions. These regions are Northern, Eastern, Western, and Southern.
TISSNET Application Form is available in online and offline mode from September 2017 onwards. The offline form can be obtained by sending a request to Mumbai campus for a printed TISSNET Application Form. The filled application form has to be submitted to Assistant Registrar (Academic), Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Deonar Mumbai, 400088.A candidate can apply for multiple programs and pay for those programs in one online form and should not fill more than one form.
Candidates who have successfully registered for the examination can download their TISSNET Admit Card. The document will be available on official website of TISS from December 21, 2017, onwards.
TISSNET Exam Pattern consists of objective questions related to General Awareness, Mathematical and Logical Reasoning and English having maximum 100 questions.
As per TISSNET Eligibility, a candidate must hold a Graduation Degree from a recognized university/ institute.
TISSNET Result will be declared in February 2018.Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of TISS NET scores, Pre-Written Test or/and Personal Interviews. The result will be declared online and the candidates must download their scorecards using their login id and password. The result will disclose the score and the merit of the candidates.
Along with the merit list, the Institute also releases a waitlist. The wait list will contain the name and details of those candidates, who will qualify the examination. However, will only be called for admission if the seat is left vacant after the conclusion of counselling for the merit list candidates. After the announcement of the final selection list, the seats in different TISS campuses will be allotted to the candidates.
