  • With the release of National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2018 on Tuesday 3rd April, it was revealed that Miranda House is the best college in the country.

With the release of National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2018 on Tuesday 3rd April, it was revealed that Miranda House is the best college in the country.

Five colleges of the University of Delhi made it to the top 10 colleges of India list. It is interesting to note that there were many affiliated colleges of Delhi University which did not apply for the rankings this year.

Major Highlights of NIRF Rankings for Colleges 2018: -

  • This year, there has been slight ups and downs in the rankings of colleges. Mirinda House continued to dominate the rankings this year too by bagging the top spot.
  • St. Stephen's College which did not take part in 2017 edition of rankings replaced Loyola College, Chennai in the second spot. This year, Loyola College, Chennai dropped to 6th rank.
  • Presidency College, Kolkata made a significant improvement in rankings this year. Last year, the college was at 96th rank. However, the college secured 5th rank this year and surprised everyone. It shows the quality of education that is being delivered in this college.
  • The performance of DU's popular college SRCC is not up to the mark. The college, which secured 3rd rank last year fell to 7 this year.
