The Thangal Kunju Musaliar (TKM) College of Engineering has been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation or NBA, which is the apex body for evaluation of technical institutions in the country.
The university offers various undergraduate programmes in the departments of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Mechanical Engineering (ME) and Civil Engineering (CE). Among these, the UG engineering programmes of Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering have been awarded the status of "6-year accreditation".
The varsity has become the only college in the state of Kerala to get the top ranking of six-year accreditation by the NBA team.

Previous year, the university was credited with a "AAA" rating for National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) by Human Resources Development (HRD) department.
The college is also placed among the top 150 engineering colleges in the country in a recently released National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) list for engineering institutions given by the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development.
On this prestigious occasion, Dr. S. Ayoob, the principal TKM College of Engineering expressed that this NBA top ranking award along with NIRF ranking status will push the institute ahead to achieve its goal of attaining excellence in technical education as well as research in the coming years.

TKM College of Engineering founded in 1956 by late Janab Thangal Kunju Musaliar, the famous industrialist and philanthropist. It is the first private engineering college in the state. The varsity is the first government aided engineering college in the state of Kerala and is managed and regulated by the TKM college trust with TK Jalaluddin Musaliar as Treasurer and Shahal Hassan Musaliar as Chairman.
