According to the report released by JNTUH, there are 12,638 vacant seats in various engineering colleges across Telangana.
TS Engineering Spot Admissions from August 6

The engineering spot admissions at various colleges in Telangana will commence from 6-August-2016. The final phase of seat allotment completed on 30-July-2016. The spot admissions will be conducted for the vacant seats. According to the report released by JNTUH, there are 12,638 vacant seats in various engineering colleges across Telangana.

The candidates who were qualified in EAMCET 1 and did not attend counselling can apply for spot admissions by paying Rs. 1,000. The candidates who did not qualify/attend the examination have to pay Rs. 1,500.

The students have the choice to choose a college. They can join in any engineering college of their choice where the seats are vacant. However, the seats were filled in almost all the reputed engineering colleges and universities. The seats are vacant in the colleges which are situated in rural areas. The candidates who did not attend EAMCET 1 can seek seats under management quota.

Recently, there were allegations that the question paper of EAMCET 1 leaked in advance. The CID later confirmed that the question paper of EAMCET 2 leaked. According to the reports of CID, more than 100 students are involved in the leakage of question paper. Based on its report, the TS government cancelled EAMCET 2.
