Candidates who appeared for the state-level entrance test can now access and download their result card through the official website. The result includes the score, overall merit ranking, category ranking, and qualification status of the candidate, which are crucial for the forthcoming counselling process.
How To Verify UPCATET Result 2026 (Via Website/WhatsApp)
In order to prevent any congestion on the website, it is advised that you view your result via the website or the new mobile channel option. The steps are explained in detail below:Option A: Via the Official Website
Go to the Official Website: Go to the official UPCATET exam website www.upcatetexam.orgClick on the Result Tab: Look for the clearly marked tab which says "Download Entrance Test Result / Scorecard 2026" or navigate from the "Applicant Login" section.
Provide Credentials: Pick your program group (PCB/PCM/PAG) and enter your Registration Number/Roll Number along with your Date of Birth (your password).
Verify and Submit: Provide your captcha/security code and click on the Sign In/Submit button.
Print the Score Card: Your UPCATET 2026 scorecard will be displayed on your screen. Print it multiple times for counselling purposes.

Criteria for Minimum Qualifying Cut-off Points
The merit list is prepared according to the minimum qualifying percentage criteria established as per the rules of the exam conducting authority as follows:
- Candidates from General/OBC/EWS category must have at least 20% of the total marks, i.e., 160 marks out of 800 marks in the UG examination.
- Candidates from SC/ST category must have at least 10% of the total marks, i.e., 80 marks out of 800 marks in the UG examination.
- Candidates who score below the above-mentioned cut-off points are not eligible for merit ranking.
Tie Breaking Criteria
In the case where there is a tie between more than one candidate with similar overall scores, tie-breaking criteria are established by the university. The tie will be resolved by assigning priority rank to candidates whose marks in core subjects applicable to their paper groups are high (for example, Biology in PCB or Agriculture in PAG). In case the tie still stands, the candidate who is older will be ranked higher.
Centralised Counselling to Commence Soon
With the declaration of the results, the process of centralised counselling starts at around 3,524 seats offered by the state. The single window process handles the admissions process of the four leading agricultural universities of Uttar Pradesh, namely:
- Banda University of Agriculture and Technology (BUAT), Banda
- Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology (CSAUAT), Kanpur
- Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology (SVPUAT), Meerut
- Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology (ANDUAT), Ayodhya
Online registration for the first phase of UG counselling is slated to commence on July 1, 2026, where candidates must lock their institutional and stream choices based on their overall state rank. Meanwhile, PG and Ph.D. counselling registration is tentatively scheduled to begin on July 27, 2026.
