UPSC CSE Prelims 2021 that scheduled to be conducted on June 27 has been postponed, and the new exam date for the same is October 10. As the number of Covid-19 cases has been increasing at a fast pace, most of the coaching institutes have shut down offline classes, and online classes are being conducted for the aspirants. While online teaching might not be effective for aspirants hailing from remote areas, aspirants requested UPSC to postpone the exam. On the other hand, with the ongoing situation, it is also not safe to conduct the exam until the situation turns normal. India is almost recording 3.5 to 4 lakh cases per day.
UPSC has taken a decision on the postponement of the CSE Prelims 2021 exam. Meanwhile, students are advised to continue with their preparation for the exam to keep the momentum. UPSC CSE Prelims 2021 admit card is expected to be released in the last week of September.
For the past few days, several aspirants were campaigning on Twitter urging the authorities to postpone the CSE Prelims 2021 exam. The Covid-19 pandemic situation has disturbed the preparation, as public libraries, bookshops in several locations have been closed due to the restrictions. Some aspirants had even signed an online petition to defer the exam atleast by 3 months.
Now that the exam has been postponed till October, the aspirants can prepare for the exam effectively.
