Physical Research Laboratory (PRL) – Department of Space (Government of India) is inviting applications from eligible candidates for Vikram Sarabhai Innovation Competition 2019 (VISION 2019). The competition is open for Engineering and Science stream students. VISION 2019 is being conducted to mark the birth centenary year of Dr. Vikram A. Sarabhai – Father of Indian Space Programme. As a part of VISION 2019, PRL is inviting new and original ideas, which have great potential for innovations. Eligibility Criteria for VISION 2019
The eligibility criteria for VISION 2019 can be checked below –
- Students pursuing B.E/ B.Tech, M.Sc, B.Sc and Integrated M.Sc are eligible to participate in VISION 2019.
- However, students pursuing a pre-final year of the above mentioned courses are only eligible to submit the application form for VISION 2019.
- Students can submit an application/ proposal as an individual or group. The group should not have more than 3 members, and all the group members must be from the same college.
- Head of the Institution / Department must endorse the application in the prescribed format.
VISION 2019 – Nature of Proposals
Students aspiring to participate in VISION 2019 must note that the nature of proposals must be as follows –
- PRL is inviting proposals for the execution and demonstration of genuine/ original research and development ideas. The participants can submit their ideas in the fields of Space and Atmospheric Sciences, Earth Sciences, Astronomy and Astrophysics, Physics or any other field that fall under the domain of Physical Sciences.
- The applicants must note that the proposals must be prepared for an experimental demonstration or system development/ prototype setup.
- The proposals must be experimental and novel in nature.
- PRL shall invite selected teams for proposal presentation.
- The selected proposals must be executed by students in their respective institutes/ colleges between June-November 2019
- The results of VISION 2019 will be announced in December 2019.
VISION 2019 Application Procedure
Students must note that there is no online application form submission for VISION 2019. The proforma of the application form must be downloaded from the official website of Physical Research Laboratory (PRL). Check the outreach section on the PRL website to download the application form for VISION 2019. The candidates must follow the steps below to apply for VISION 2019 –
- The candidates must fill the application form
- The signed and scanned copy of application form along with full proposal documents must be submitted through e-mail – vision2019@prl.res.in
- The original documents as mentioned above must be sent by post.
VISION 2019 Rewards
The selected projects will receive a reward of –
- First Prize – Rs. 3,00,000
- Second Prize – Rs. 2,00,000
- Third Prize – Rs. 1,00,000
