WB Board issues Guidelines for Class 12 4th Semester Exams : The West Bengal Higher Secondary Council has announced the guidelines for the Class 12 4th semester examinations, scheduled to be held from February 12 to February 25 next year. According to the guidelines, students will be required to answer short and descriptive questions on the answer scripts. The council has also laid down strict rules to ensure the integrity of the examination process.

Guidelines for Students:

  • Examinees are allowed to carry an analogue watch (not a smart watch) into the examination hall.

  • Electronic devices such as mobile phones, Bluetooth earphones, pen drives, writing pads, electronic pens/scanners are strictly prohibited.

  • Invigilation will be conducted by permanent teachers of the concerned venue and non-participating institutions.

  • In case of scarcity, teachers from junior high schools and primary schools may be deputed as invigilators with permission from the district inspector of schools.

The exams will be written by students who were admitted to Class XI last year under the semesterised Plus-II system. The council has urged students to carefully go through the guidelines and follow the rules to avoid any inconvenience during the examination.

A council official stated that they are facing a shortage of invigilators due to the ongoing recruitment process for Plus-II level teachers, which was conducted by the school service commission in September. The council has assured students that it is taking all necessary measures to ensure a smooth and fair examination process. The guidelines have been uploaded to the council's website, and students are advised to check the website for further updates.

The Class 12 4th-semester examinations are a crucial milestone for students, and the council is committed to conducting the exams transparently and efficiently. By following the guidelines and rules, students can ensure a hassle-free examination experience and achieve their academic goals.

The examination schedule will be announced separately, and students are advised to stay tuned to the council's website for further updates. With the guidelines in place, students can now prepare for the exams and make the most of their preparation. The council has also stated that possession of prohibited electronic devices will be considered a serious offense and may lead to disciplinary action. Students are advised to cooperate with the authorities to ensure a smooth examination process.
