SKIP has always put in their endeavour for community service. In the same spirit, a world Pharmacists day celebrations was organized on 25th September 2016. SKIP has been celebrating “The World Pharmacists” Day on 25 September 2016 ever since it was announced by FIP (International Pharmaceutical Federation) at its Congress held in Istanbul in 2010. Each year welcomes a new theme to develop to showcase the Pharmacist in their positive effect on health. This year the theme is “Pharmacists: Caring for you”.
The inaugural function witnessed the gracious presence of Mr. Alok Khunteta, Registrar, Rajasthan Pharmacy Council, Jaipur (Raj.) as the chief guest, Mr. Jaipal Meel, Director, SKIT, Mrs. Rachna Meel, Registrar, SKIT, Professor (Mrs.) Hemlata Dullar, Principal, SKIP, Jaipur. The program commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Jaipal Meel, Director SKIT, Jaipur.
Mr. Alok Khunteta threw more light on the objective of the world Pharmacist day. He lauded the efforts of the SKIP family and exhorted students and faculty member to encourage and motivate regarding importance of world Pharmacists day celebrations. He delivered a lecture on “The scope of Pharmacy and the functions of Pharmacists” and also explained the development of specific and potent synthetic drugs and gave the emphasis of the Pharmacist’s responsibility towards the utilization of scientific knowledge in the proper use of modern drugs.
Professor Hemlata Dullar delivered a lecture on the “Pharmacists: Caring for you”. She explained that Pharmacists have the expertise to provide patient care services that are cost-effective and of high quality, they are the most accessible health professionals, and the public places great trust in them, as shown by many surveys ranking pharmacists among the most trusted professions. She encourage all pharmacists to make use of World Pharmacists Day; “a wonderful opportunity to promote our profession”
The students of SKIP organized a series of activities on 25th September 2016. These include: An essay writing competitions, Mahanadi competitions, Rangoli competitions, Spot competitions, Debate competitions, etc.
The professor and Principal Hemlata Dullar of SKIP gave the vote of thanks to the chief guest, faculty and staff members, for rendering moral and selfless service to the college.
