XIC OET exam 2022 will be held on April 29 and 30, May 2, 3, 6, and 7, 2022. The registration window was closed on April 27, 2022. To get admission to mass-communication courses, Xavier Institute of Communications, Mumbai conducts the Xavier Institute of Communication Online Entrance Test (XIC OET). Based on the candidate’s entrance score candidates will be shortlisted for admission to Dipmoa courses in Mass Communication, Journalism, and other related fields.

XIC OET Eligibility Criteria 2022

To be accepted to diploma programs offered at the Xavier Institute of Communications, candidates must meet the eligibility requirements. The eligibility for XIC OET is as follows:

• The candidate should be a resident of India to apply

• The candidate must have a valid bachelor's degree in any field.

• The candidate's age for the entrance exam must be 35 years or under.

• Candidates who appear in the last year may also apply for the entrance exam

XIC OET Application Form 2022

Candidates can access the application form only in online mode. No additional offline mode can be accessed. The entrance examination may be carried out by students who have completed and submitted the application form.

The guidelines for filling up the XIC OET Application form are discussed below:-

• First, visit the Xavier Institute of Communications' official website

• Click on the application tab shown at the top of the screen

• Select the Online Entrance Test 2022.

• Then select a course and fill in the application form by providing all your personal information including your name, address, telephone number, email id, and other qualification information.

• The scanned copy and signature must also be submitted at the time of filling up the application

• Click on the Next button after completing the application form.

• Students will have to pay INR 3,500 (inclusive of prevailing GST)- application fees.

• The application fee for the XIC OET Entrance Exam can only be paid in online mode via credit card/debit card / net banking

• It is recommended that participants keep the admit card secure until the admission process is complete.

XIC OET Admit Card 2022

The XIC OET admit card will be sent on the registered email ID of the candidates. Take a printout of the XIC OET to admit card and cross-check that it has all the details mentioned below:

• Name of the Candidate

• A coloured photo of the candidate

• Candidate’s Signature

• Time and Date of the entrance exam

• Test related information

• Location of the Entrance Examination

• Counselling related information

XIC OET Exam Pattern 2022

The XIC OET exam pattern is given in detail below:

• The duration of the entrance exam is 1hr 30 min

• Objective questions are of 100 marks in total which must be answered in 1 hour

• Subjective questions are of 50 marks in total and must be answered in 30 minutes

• The objective questions will be asked from different areas such as General Knowledge, logical & analytical skills, media expertise, and Language Skills

• A total of three questions will be asked in the subjective section to check candidates' creative and writing skills.

XIC OET Exam Syllabus 2022

There is no specific syllabus for the Xavier Institute of Communication Online Entrance Test (XIC OET). However, the exam consists of three main sections and the subtopics for the same are as follows:

Language Skills

The language skills of the applicant will be checked in this segment. Questions on grammar, singular, plural, synonyms, antonyms, languages and phrases, One Word replacements, etc are asked in this segment.

General Knowledge and Knowledge of Media

Candidates' aptitude skills are evaluated in this segment in the sense of general knowledge and current issues. Students must be familiar with the nation and abroad political, social, and economic happenings.

Logical & Analytical Skill

Candidates must pursue the following topics in this segment, such as sequence, blood ties, instructions, simple logic, syllogism, and analogy.

XIC OET Admission Process 2022

Step 1: Registration

To fill up the application form, applicants will first have to register by clicking the 'admissions' tab on the university's official website. 

Step 2: Fill up the XIC OET Application Form

Those who meet the eligibility criteria can fill out the application form with the registered ID and password.

Step 3: Download XIC OET Admit Card

At their registered e-mail address, the admit card XIC OET 2022 will be sent to candidates.

Step 4: Entrance Exam

Candidates will then have to appear for the Xavier Institute of Communications Online Entrance Exam (XIC OET) at their respective examination centers.

Step 5: GD/ Personal Interview/ Skype Interview

Those who qualify for the exam will be able to call for GD and Personal Interview.

After the GD/PI round, a merit list will be released by the institute. Those candidates whose names appear on the merit list will be eligible for final admission.
