Home to beautiful mountains, fjord coastline, unique history and even an impeccable Winter Olympics record, Norway comes under one of the popular choices for international students for their higher education. The impeccable education system has led to four Norwegian Universities to be mentioned in the QS World University Rankings, viz. the University of Oslo, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, the University of Bergen and the University of Troms The Arctic University of Norway.

Norway is among the many countries signed under the Bologna Process which allows for the transfer of educational credits academic degrees that are recognised at other European University. In other words, students earning a degree from a Norwegian University will be able to pursue higher education in other European countries. The Undergraduate programmes in Norwegian Universities will require a minimum of 3 years to complete, while, for masters you will need 1-2 years, meanwhile, for a doctorate degree, you will need at least 3 years.

One of the most unique features of studying in Norway is the free education that is accessible to all, including international students. As per the policies of the Norwegian Government, the education should be accessible to everyone regardless of who they are and where they are from. However, if you choose Norway as your study abroad destination, it should be noted that Norway is an expensive country to live in.

You can still pursue higher education in Norway by availing scholarships and financial aid and continue your higher education in the country. Another possible method opted by international students is to work alongside their studies, however, the scope for finding a part-time job is limited.
