The duration of MBBS course in the Philippines is 5 ½ years. The duration of the pre-medical course is 16 months, and upon the completion of the course, students will be eligible to enrol in the medical degree. The pre-medical course majorly covers subjects like medicinal technology, psychology, physiotherapy, pharmacy, nursing, biology, and psychology. On the other hand, after the completion of the pre-medical course, students will have to clear the National Medical Admission Test (NMAT) for getting admission in any of the medical universities in the Philippines.
Doctor of Medicine (MD) programme in the Philippines is equivalent to MBBS course in India, UK, and Commonwealth nations. While pursuing MBBS course in the Philippines, a student must study medical theory and go through practicals and clinical rotation in order to gain better exposure.

Some universities in the Philippines also offer these undergraduate medical programs in different fields. Candidates can apply for these courses after completing class 12.

Master in Nursing (MAN)

2 years

This course has two concentrations, i.e. thesis and non-thesis. Aspiring candidates can apply for these programmes after completing a BS in Nursing. Those who want to teach at Nursing Institutes in the Philippines, it is mandatory to pursue this program.

Master of Public Health

2 years

This is a master’s program for those who want to pursue higher studies in the field of public health policies and measures. Candidates can apply after completing a Bachelor’s degree in public health or related bachelor courses.

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

4 years

This is a postgraduate level program for students who want to treat animals. Candidates have to pursue graduation and 2 years of pre-vet training.

Doctor of Dental Medicine

4 years

This is another postgraduate program and candidates can apply for this course after completing a Bachelor’s degree in any related course.
