The admission process for a B.Tech CSE at LPU is your Class 12 Pass with 60% aggregate marks (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying JEE Mains or LPUNEST or CUET. If a candidate has studied in English medium or an equivalent topic in his qualifying test but has not taken English as a subject, the requirement of English may be waived. LPUNEST performance determines which scholarships LPU offers. If one's score on the LPUNEST is higher than the cutoff, they may also be eligible for a significant scholarship. 5% relaxation will be given to North-East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defense Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmiri Migrants. By clearing all these steps, you will get the option to book your residential like hostel, mess, laundry, gym, indoor stadium etc. You can avail the services as per your requirement and pay the fee. Being Alumni of LPU, I would like to answer this question. At LPU, Admission in any programme depends on qualifying the Eligibility criteria for that programme. So, as per the official website of LPU, the Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam) is defined as - Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics Mathematics and English or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST. LPUNEST is National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to various programmes in Lovely Professional University. This test forms the basis of Eligibility and Scholarship for most of the programmes and for some of the programmes test is applicable only for scholarship. LPU NEST serves both the purposes. Also, if you have qualified LPU NEST for Eligibility purpose, you can also improve your score for Scholarship purpose as well. For qualifying the LPU NEST for Eligibility purpose, around 40% marks are required but for Scholarship purpose, cut-offs are required to be qualified for LPU NEST. So, first of all decide the programme that you want to join and check its Eligibility criteria for Admission. LPU conducts LPUNEST for all the programmes. LPUNEST is National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to various programmes in Lovely Professional University.
