B Tech mechanical engineering is under graduate 4 years degree that combines engineering physics and mathematics principles with materials science, to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems. It is one of the oldest and broadest of the engineering branches. The timings of LPU for regular classes are 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM from Monday to Friday for students. Time table of every branch and class will be different and student can check their time table from UMS and attend classes accordingly.

And the timetable is shown in UMS of the student UMS is University management system by which student get each and every update about the holidays, announcement, hostel fees and semester fees.

The normal classes run from 9am to 5 pm. Saturdays and sundays are off . PEP classes are caried on in last year when you need to prepare fro placements. Lectures cancelled or not taken due to any unavoidable reasons are rescheduled on some other day . Being an alumni I am sharing here the best of information according to my knowledge. It is entirely dependent on the programme you have selected: Undergraduate students get 5–6 hours of class every day on average, with LPU classes running from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Postgraduate students get 4 hours of class every day on average, with roughly 2–3 hours of research work in their last year. there are three time slots that are particularly followed for the classes in Lpu: 8:00 am- 4:00 pm 9:00 am- 5:00 pm 10:00 am- 6:00 pm Eight hours of class can be placed anywhere between the aforementioned duration between Monday to Friday.So, in these 8 hours of study period, your lunch break is also there. Each day you will learn something new. This time duration also has a Lunch break of an hour for a breather for the students for this schedule. Different sections will have different timings for different days. The best part is that you get Saturdays off. Infact being the hectic schedule each and every class is very much interesting and knowledgeable. For every single hour there is so much to learn and enjoy with happy learning.

Classes usually take place between 9 am to 5 pm with Saturday Sundays being an off. if teacher is absent on a day then classes will not be cancelled ..yes it will not cancelled it will be postponed ( what they call it is MAKEUP/ADJUSTMENTS) on another day or other teacher may come to take the classes. And Special Placement Prep Classes are also conducted on Saturday for the students. The time table is specially updated everyday for the students on the LPU Touch Application and it is advised to check the UMS every day for the information.

Being an alumnus of LPU I would prefer LPU as it has helped me grow professionally and provides exposure to various opportunities in terms of internships, workshops, guest lectures, industrial visits, placements, etc. Generally, classes start at 9:00 am / 8:00 am also ( due to practicals ).classes end at 4:00 or 5:00 pm according to time table. 1 hour break only in between the classes in a day. if teacher is absent on a day then classes will not be cancelled ..yes it will not cancelled it will be postponed ( what they call it is MAKEUP/ADJUSTMENTS) on another day or other teacher may come to take the classes. And Special Placement Prep Classes are also conducted on Saturday for the students. The time table is specially updated everyday for the students on the LPU Touch Application and it is advised to check the UMS every day for the information. As per the pandemic, the classes are going in online mode through My class app, so follow the timetable as shown in your UMS and attend the classes as per scheduled, in case you face any issue you can contact your Mentor, the details for the same are available in your UMS account only. They follow the timetable very sincerely and get all details from time to time and if there is any change in their timetables they get information prior. Standard time LPU follows so that student does not face any hassle with timings. LPU offers 200+ professional programmes. Timing for classes as per course starts either at 9:00 AM or 8:00 AM till 4:00 PM or 5:00 PM. All students get a 1-hour break for lunch and even get the chance to clear their doubts in tutorial classes as per scheduled timing. Classes typically start at 9:00 a.m./8:00 a.m. (due to practicals). Classes finish at 4:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. depending on the time table. Just 1 hour break between classes in a day. If the teacher is missing for a day the class may not be cancelled. Indeed, it will not be cancelled, it may be delayed (what they call MAKEUP/ADJUSTMENTS) to another day, or another teacher will come to take lessons. And the Special Placement Prep Classes are also offered for students on Saturday. The companies which have visited in LPU are Asahi Glass India Ltd ,Cognizant ,Tech Mahindra , Anglo, Eastern Ship Mgmt , Zycus , Think and Learn , Cactus Communications , XL Dynamics , Lava International , Unisys , etc. Well the timings for the classes vary like either start from 9:00 A.M. or 8:00 A.M. and the day ends by 4 or 5:00 P.M. Classes usually take place between 9 am to 5 pm with Saturday Sundays being an off. if teacher is absent on a day then classes will not be cancelled ..yes it will not cancelled it will be postponed ( what they call it is MAKEUP/ADJUSTMENTS) on another day or other teacher may come to take the classes. And Special Placement Prep Classes are also conducted on Saturday for the students.
