The normal classes run from 9am to 5 pm. Saturdays and sundays are off . PEP classes are caried on in last year when you need to prepare fro placements. Lectures cancelled or not taken due to any unavoidable reasons are rescheduled on some other day . Disciplined curriculaum and updated course on frequesnt basis as per industry ask is the mainstrength of LPU

To the best of my knowledge, I am sharing the major placement highlights. LPU is good in case of placement but if we talk about the placement in the Mechanical branch. In Mech the no of students placed in Core company like Honda, Cheema Boilers, etc. If we take a look at last year's students placed in recent batch:- Honda-2 students at 8 Lacs also Cheema Boilers=around 7 or 8 students selected as a Trainee Many students got placed in Anglo-Eastern i. e Merchant Navy and some students in Samundra which is also a Merchant Navy Institute. Hettich India and Giga solar selected 11 students from Mechanical Engineering for packages worth 5.0 Lacks and 2.4 Lacs for on job pieces of training. All the best !!

Being an alumni I am sharing here the best of information according to my knowledge. It is entirely dependent on the programme you have selected: Undergraduate students get 5–6 hours of class every day on average, with LPU classes running from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Postgraduate students get 4 hours of class every day on average, with roughly 2–3 hours of research work in their last year. there are three time slots that are particularly followed for the classes in Lpu: 8:00 am- 4:00 pm 9:00 am- 5:00 pm 10:00 am- 6:00 pm Eight hours of class can be placed anywhere between the aforementioned duration between Monday to Friday.So, in these 8 hours of study period, your lunch break is also there. Each day you will learn something new. This time duration also has a Lunch break of an hour for a breather for the students for this schedule. Different sections will have different timings for different days. The best part is that you get Saturdays off. Infact being the hectic schedule each and every class is very much interesting and knowledgeable. For every single hour there is so much to learn and enjoy with happy learning.

Classes usually take place between 9 am to 5 pm with Saturday Sundays being an off. if teacher is absent on a day then classes will not be cancelled ..yes it will not cancelled it will be postponed ( what they call it is MAKEUP/ADJUSTMENTS) on another day or other teacher may come to take the classes. And Special Placement Prep Classes are also conducted on Saturday for the students. The time table is specially updated everyday for the students on the LPU Touch Application and it is advised to check the UMS every day for the information.

its a 4 years program . I was confused between Delhi Technological University, Delhi, and Lovely Professional University Phagwara. but after discussions, thinking, and recommendations from my relatives ( Allummni of LPU) I joined LPU. it was actually a great decision. Infact being the hectic schedule each and every class is very much interesting and knowledgeable. For every single hour there is so much to learn and enjoy with happy learning . Mechanical engineering is the discipline that applies engineering physics, engineering mathematics, and materials Science principles to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves the design, production, and operation of machinery. The Mechanical Engineering department had the most ideal study environment since I have two friends from that stream and they both got placed in Hyundai India Motor Ltd. As far as Mechanical engineering is concerned, I can tell you this course carries extra baggage and it is very fruitful if you choose LPU as a medium. I would like to share few major highlights of this course at LPU: A Mechanical Engineering student goes through an experiential learning process surrounded by high-end the latest labs and equipment including robotics and automation. International tech-fests and competitions encourage all-round development in students in addition to giving them international exposure. The school has well qualified and experienced faculty members with specialisation in various fields like, Aerospace Engineering, Automobile Engineering, CAD/CAM, Engineering Design, Manufacturing Technology, Metallurgy, Robotics, Thermal Engineering, etc. Projects and Applications The Department takes immense pride in offering innovative Live Projects that will help in providing technical exposure to the students while developing state of the art applications. Mechanical engineering deals with the working and functioning of electrical equipment's, heavy machines, different materiel to make human life easy and motor vehicles which has a large scope in the future markets. A large scale field work is required and mechanical students keep developing themselves working in their respective workshops and their live projects. Lovely Professional University is the best engineering college in India. LPU becomes the best place to pursue an engineering degree with highly qualified teaching staff, best laboratories, and modern technologies. LPU provides abundant opportunities for students to think out of the box. Being an alumnus of LPU I would prefer LPU as it has helped me grow professionally and provides exposure to various opportunities in terms of internships, workshops, guest lectures, industrial visits, placements, etc. Generally, classes start at 9:00 am / 8:00 am also ( due to practicals ).classes end at 4:00 or 5:00 pm according to time table. 1 hour break only in between the classes in a day. if teacher is absent on a day then classes will not be cancelled ..yes it will not cancelled it will be postponed ( what they call it is MAKEUP/ADJUSTMENTS) on another day or other teacher may come to take the classes. And Special Placement Prep Classes are also conducted on Saturday for the students. The time table is specially updated everyday for the students on the LPU Touch Application and it is advised to check the UMS every day for the information. As per the pandemic, the classes are going in online mode through My class app, so follow the timetable as shown in your UMS and attend the classes as per scheduled, in case you face any issue you can contact your Mentor, the details for the same are available in your UMS account only. Well, as far I heard LPU students are very punctual. They follow the timetable very sincerely and get all details from time to time and if there is any change in their timetables they get information prior. Standard time LPU follows so that student does not face any hassle with timings. LPU offers 200+ professional programmes. Timing for classes as per course starts either at 9:00 AM or 8:00 AM till 4:00 PM or 5:00 PM. All students get a 1-hour break for lunch and even get the chance to clear their doubts in tutorial classes as per scheduled timing. For Mechanical engineering programme also timings are considered 9:00 AM-5:00 PM or 8:00 AM-4:00 PM, as I am in contact with an existing student who belongs to the same course informed me so. Still, I advise you to check the timetable when you join LPU.

Classes typically start at 9:00 a.m./8:00 a.m. (due to practicals). Classes finish at 4:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. depending on the time table. Just 1 hour break between classes in a day. If the teacher is missing for a day the class may not be cancelled. Indeed, it will not be cancelled, it may be delayed (what they call MAKEUP/ADJUSTMENTS) to another day, or another teacher will come to take lessons. And the Special Placement Prep Classes are also offered for students on Saturday.
