LPUs B Tech Mechatronics is an Engineering programme that combines Mechanical and Electronics Engineering. This program equips engineers with skills to design, construct and run factory production lines and automated processes, where they use their skills in computers, micro-controllers, programmable logic controllers, programming, industrial sensors, hydraulic, pneumatic and electric drives, the design of mechanical structures, mechanisms and knowledge of manufacturing processes. At LPU the eligibility for the program is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics, and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST. The course intends to instil knowledge in the areas of Robotics, Professional Enhancement. In addition to core curricula, the course offers subjects like communication, analytical and soft skills to enhance personality and employability, industry Immersion Training, projects, and guest lectures collaborated with industries help to learn from real-life situations, Projects Seminar and Project driven courses are designed to enhance technical and presentation skills and develop teamwork capabilities The program offers interdisciplinary Minors Elective to develop expertise in the interdisciplinary areas of interest for example Management, ECE, and CSE/IT. The Pathways have been designed to provide a choice to develop expertise in the area of industry-relevant career perspective as Design engineer, Maintenance engineer, Thermal Engineer, Production and Industrial engineer. The university encourages students to have maximum industrial exposure. The curriculum is equipped with 21st-century digital technologies to make students industry-ready. The Industrial Input Curriculum of the course is competent to impart skills as per feedback provided by premier organisations of industry and academia. For holistic development the students are encouraged to participate in technical events, sports, and cultural activities. The highest package at LPU is 46 LPA and the average package is 5.2 LPA .
