Hi, The registrations for session 2023 has already started and you can apply for the same at admission.lpu.in The eligibility for BPT is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST. The tuition fee per semester is Rs 80000 and we also offer scholarship on various categories on the tuition fee to lessen the burden of fee.The scholarship is offered on various categories like LPUNEST exam, percentage in qualifying exam, Sports, Cultural, co-curricular, Defence, Need based, Disability, Orphan and special scholarship to Board toppers. For detailed information you are requested to visit the university official website. BPT at LPU provides students with an extensive curriculum, including interdisciplinary, patient-centred and self-directed learning. This helps students learn about clinical and basic sciences. The course encompasses campus-based patient scenarios for learning in a clinical environment. The college has 250+ publications, 400+ book chapters, 15+ conferences and workshops and 10+ collaborative research projects. LPU University conducts the placement drive every year. Even though placements for BPT are not as good as other courses, students still get placed in some reputed hospitals. Health Insurance companies, Rehabilitation centres, Hospitals, Home Visits, and Nursing homes visit this campus for BPT.

LPU is good for BPT. The course is approved by Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP). To promote the growth and development in Physiotherapy, the department is being constructed and also to meet the global trend various rehabilitation and healthcare centers are being establish to serves the purpose to create professionals as generalist and specialists in Orthopaedics, Neurology, Cardiopulmonary, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Sports Medicine with remarkable clinical training. There are well-equipped departments such as Neuro-Physiotherapeutic, Electrotherapeutics, Movement Sciences, Musculoskeletal Sports Physiotherapy, Community Physiotherapy, and Cardio-respiratory that provide hands-on learning to the students. To develop professional skills various health care centers through clinical training in the various multi-specialty hospitals and three physiotherapy centers of the university are being offered to students. A compulsory, full-time six-months internship training program in multi-specialty hospitals provides exposure to students on work atmosphere and patient handling that help the student to establish themselves as healthcare providers. There is an International Exposure Option, where students may be given an option to go for a 4 weeks study tour to the USA/ European countries or any other country as decided by the University subject to conditions. One can get various opportunities both in private and government sectors after completion of the course.The BPT course graduates are lucratively employed in areas such as hospitals, health institutes, fitness centers, private clinics.Some job profiles that emphasize on the course of BPT are Assistant Physiotherapist, Therapy Manager, Sports Physio Rehabilitator, Osteopath, and others.

Bachelor of Physiotherapy or BPT is an undergraduate programme that deals with the structure of the human body. The duration of this course is four years and once the duration of the programme is over, students are required to complete a six months internship. Therapy helps to treat disorders without using drugs. Physiotherapists have a thorough understanding of the human anatomy and the intricacies of bones, muscles and nerves. LPU BPT is approved by IAP ( Indian Association of Physiotherapy), moreover LPU has its own hospital in which you can have practical knowledge of the same. This builds up the confidence of the student and make them more familiar with their work. LPU also has a good placement cell of this department which is not at all fake. Students can attain positions in sports training centres, health and fitness centres, hospitals, physiotherapy & rehabilitation centres, spastic societies and special schools. Opportunities also include pursuing higher studies in reputed universities in India and abroad. Students can also avail jobs in health insurance and medical coding companies. Strong emphasis is laid on the theoretical and practical aspects of physiotherapy and healthcare through courses on clinical. Not only Physiotherapy students are also offered by subjects like communication, analytical and soft skills to enhance personality and employability which is also important simultaneously LPU has art labs such as such as orthopaedic physiotherapy, general medicine, electrotherapy, neurology provide hands on learning to the students. Full term internship in reputed hospitals and multi-speciality hospitals orients students with the real time work atmosphere and helps improvise their professional skills required to establish themselves as physicians and consultants. LPU BPT students also organised a three day treatment camp for patients of adjoining regions in a bid to provide cost effective treatment to them. A team of 15 students and 4 doctors from LPU remained on duty for the entire duration of camp wherein more than 60 patients were treated for various physical ailments. LPU provide the innovative and practice based teaching to the students. Workshops, Guest Lectures, Clinical Training, Physiotherapy camps and Lab experiments enrich the practical knowledge of student. HIGHLIGHTS 1. Three Physiotherapy OPD’s are effectively running with a good flow of patients. 2. The OPD timings have been increased up to the 8 pm in the evening in all the physiotherapy OPD’s. 3. Hospital-based teaching at in-campus UNI Hospital and other NABH hospitals in Jalandhar and Ludhiana has been provided to the students for their effective learning. 4. LPU physiotherapy department is one of the few institutes in North India having specialty labs in Neuro Rehab, Ortho & Sports Rehab, Cardiopulmonary Rehab, Paediatric Rehab. 5. The students are getting exposure during their internships in various hospitals like Sir Ganga ram, Medhanta Medicity Fortis Hospital, Escorts Hospital, Max Hospital, Apollo Hospital, Jindal Group of Hospitals, Ivy Hospital, International & National Sports Teams, NIMHANS, PGIMR, CMC and DMC all over India
