The Lovely Professional University (LPU) has been ranked 47th among all government & private universities in India, in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings 2022, which was released by Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan recently. This B TEch IT programme at LPU produces graduates with broad understanding of Information Technology through robust curriculum and hands-on learning in niche technologies to develop competence which caters to the requirements of the industry. It primarily deals using, maintaining and improving computer systems with strong focus on courses related to technologies to solve business processes. The program focuses to enable the students to keep pace with changing technological advances, the university has industrial tie-ups with various industries. Studying these courses as a part of the curriculum would provide a WILD CARD entry to industry. A set of 4 to 6 elective courses in engineering to enhance competency in the technical and/or emerging domain. (e.g for electronic and electrical- students taking courses in automobile/ robotics/ cybersecurity to build competency in this area.) Industry certifications, MOOCs, Hackathons / Co-curricular Competitive events, Workshops, Guest lectures, Educational Trips, Live projects, Incubation projects, Community projects, projects with NGOs, etc. are an integral part of the curriculum. THe maximum salary LPU students grabbed was 62.7 and 6.2 lpa was the average salary.
