Can someone who's 28 yrs old apply for an UG prog in US?

Yes, you can apply for an undergraduate course in a US University as most of the universities have mentioned only the minimum age limit to pursue a bachelors degree and not the maximum age limit. However, the selection is done after the evaluation of all the applications. It is important to plan and file the applicaiton properly while applying to a US university. Here is a general application process to get admission into any US University, have a look: 

Application Form 

Most of the US Universities accept online applications for UG courses. The online form is available on the official website of the university. Most of the universities also accept the common application form. Make sure you fill all the correct details in the university application form and submit it by making a non-refundable payment ranging from 50 - 100 USD.  

Standardised Test Scores

Most of the US universities require language and subject proficiency tests to complete the application. For English, TOEFL, IETLS, PTE are commonly accepted, whereas, there are many other English tests. However, SAT and ACT are accepted as subject proficiency tests. Depending upon the university, scores of tests may vary. 

Transcripts 

Transcripts of class 12th in a correct format has to be submitted to the US universities. If transcripts are not in English, you will have to get them translated by a reputed agency. 

Personal statement 

You will be required to send a personal statement in order to complete the applicaton. A writing sample of more than 250 words is to be submitted to the university. 

Recommendation Letters

According to the university you plan to join, you would be required to submit the letter of recommendations. Mostly, 2 or 3 letters are required for UG admissions.

As you are 28 years old, you must submit an updated CV along with your application.
