Dear student,

Happy New Year! Why are you limiting yourself to either KMAT or PGCET? Since you are interested in pursuing MBA in Finance, your focus should not be the exam, but the college you are targeting. Simply put, make a list of colleges where you would like to get admission into.

  • Make sure that the list comprises of very good, good, as well as moderately good colleges
  • Then figure out the exams whose score these colleges will accept. The popular exams include CAT, MAT, XAT, NMAT, GMAT etc. KMAT is a state level exam that will be accepted in MBA colleges in Karnataka only
  • Start preparing for your exams. Most of the MBA entrance exams in India are already over for the next academic session, or will conclude by January end. (anyways their registration period is over)
  • After you give your exams and get a score, you will have to appear for a GD, PI and in some cases, WAT

So, going back to your question, we suggest that you give both the exams - KMAT & PGCET (if colleges that is in your wishlist accepts these exam's scores). Good luck!
