An engineering graduate program to enhance the research skills of the students through state-of-the-art labs (Cadence/TCAD/Xilinx ISE) as well as corporate exposure related to specific areas of specialization such as analog, digital VLSI design, CMOS design and mixed signal design Pass with 60% aggregate marks in B.Tech. (Electronics and Communication Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Electronics Engineering or Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering or Instrumentation and Control Engineering or Instrumentation Engineering or Telecommunication or Computer Science and Engineering or Information Technology or Nanotechnology) or M.Sc. (Physics with Electronics or Material Science or Nanotechnology or Computer Science as specialisation) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST or GATE. Salient Features Contemporary Curriculum Instil knowledge in the major areas of VLSI Design such as analog and digital VLSI design, CMOS design and mixed signal design. Professional Enhancement A dedicated professional enhancement program prepares the students for critical thinking, improved communication skills looking at the significance of these traits in the corporate world. Industry Immersion The program incorporates multiple avenues like full-term research intensive industrial trainings, projects and curriculum delivery through adjunct faculty from the corporate world addressing real-life situations. Projects The students get ample opportunities to work on real-life industrial projects in various courses, weekend clubs and ongoing department research projects. Industrial Visits Industry visits are an integral part of the program duly facilitated through division of industry interface (DII) to witness industrial practices and possible upgradations. Software Skills Importance of ICT skills in the modern world is addressed through courses, simulation labs, code generation techniques duly integrated to the curriculum. State-of-the-Art Labs State-of-the-art labs such as Cadence, LabView, OptiSystem have been established through university programs. Centres of excellence have been established by eminent corporates. Industrial Input Curriculum is regularly updated with extensive inputs taken from industry experts through industry advisory council. Innovative Pedagogy Curriculum delivery is made effective by modern pedagogical initiatives such as case study, demo kits, simulations, audio-visual aids leading to active learning in the class. Holistic Development Participation in technical club events, national/international competitions, sports and cultural activities help in the holistic development of students.

Hi,

A M.Tech degree in Digital Communication and Networking Systems focuses on the study of Communication theory from a signal processing perspective and covers courses like Statistical Signal Processing, High-Speed Communication Networks, Smart Antennas and Digital Communication Receivers, Probability & Random Process. Emphasis is also given to subjects like Multimedia Communication, Advanced Digital Communication, Linear Algebra, Protocol Engg.. As far as laboratory programmes are concerned, students are given thorough knowledge and practical training on Multimedia Communication, Wireless Communication, Advanced Digital Communication, Advanced Computer Networks.

On the other hand, students of VLSI Design and Embedded Systems study deeply the different aspects of Design of Analog and Mixed-Mode VLSI Circuits, Real Time Operating Systems, VLSI for Signal Processing, MEMS, CMOS RF Circuit Design, SOC Design, Nanoelectronics, ASIC Design, Synthesis and Optimization of Digital Circuits, High Speed VLSI Design, Image and Video Processing, Advances in VLSI Design, Modern DSP etc., Laboratory programmes on the VLSI Design and Embedded System Lab are also taught in this specialisation.
