Mechanical engineering is the study, design, development, construction, and testing of mechanical and thermal sensors and devices, including tools, engines, and machines. ... Mechanical engineers work mostly in engineering services, research and development, and manufacturing. Coming to your question, without any comparison. I would say LPU is better for mechanical engineering based on the following point.LPU is good for Mechanical and automobile engineering. Good placements in a core company as well as a software company. Other than participating in different events like a go-kar Highlights of the Curriculum:Study Abroad:Summer/Winter School/ International Exposure:These Programmes generally happen in the summer vacations or winter vacations of the academic year. A summer/winter school/ international exposure is as form of educational Programme that offers courses, both academic and non-academic. Semester Exchange:Gain a competitive superiority on your fellow students by spending a full semester at partner foreign university.Industry certifications, MOOCs, Hackathons / Co-curricular Competitive events, Workshops, Guest lectures, Educational Trips, Live projects, Incubation projects, Community projects, projects with NGOs etc. are an integral part of curriculum. There are highly experienced faculty members with specialization in various fields like Aerospace Engineering, Automobile Engineering, CAD/CAM, Engineering Design, Industrial Engineering, Machine Tool Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Metallurgy, Robotics, Thermal Engineering, etc. Some of the companies that visited LPU for mechanical engineering are Unominda, Altair, Dharam Consulting, Collins India, Hettich India, MVM Industries, Ashok Leyland, Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances, Volkswagon, Punjab Renewable Energy Systems, Wabag, Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers, Steelstrips Wheels, TCI, Raam Group, Nylocore Transmisisons, Saint Gobain Glass India, CHC Consultancy, GE Power, Delhivery etc. The placements are highly commendable. The highest salary package offered for B.Tech Mechanical is 31 LPA. LPU provides placement classes to all the students from the very first year who opt for the placement. With the help of this, they can prepare themselves for placements till the pre-final year because the companies will start visiting for the recruitment of students from a pre-final year. Some of the students go for internships also in their final year.

Hi there, there are many universities which accept JEE rank for admission. There are 1622 engineering colleges in India accepting JEE Main scores. One of the top ranking universities of India - the Lovely Professional University gave direct admission to the students last year scoring equal to or more than 85 percent in JEE Mains. Right now there is no such direction by the university. However, those having scored less than 85 percent appeared for LPUNEST - the entrance cum scholarship exam of LPU. The university has not yet given any guidelines on the admission on the basis of JEE score. Let me tell you the NIRF ranking of LPU is 51 in engineering. Hope this answers your question. Good Luck

Hi

To get into government engineering colleges that you have given the JEE Mains exams (JEE Advance as well of IITs). Admission to all govt. colleges is merit based. However, there are a few private colleges that take admissions on the basis of candidate's percentage in 12. It is hard to tell what trade you will get as every private college has it's own admissions policies. Here is the link having the list of private engineering colleges for your reference: https://www.collegedekho.com/filter/ug-engineering-private-colleges-in-india/
