how to join to IISc : iam studying in plus two(higher secondary) and i want to do research studies after graduation.I have heard a lot about IISc bangalore,i often read about students studying who got chances to have search in foreign couuntries.so,i also want opportunities just like that.please tell me "how can i join IISc"?

Which stream are you currently pursuing? What are your future interests? Which subjects interest you the most? Your inputs will be helpful to determine the options you can consider.

IISc offers four-year B.Sc research programmes in the following disciplines:

• Biology
• Chemistry
• Materials
• Physics
• Earth & Environmental Science
• Mathematics

The application forms for the same will be available on the official website of IISc from February onwards until April third week (usually).

Eligibility:

• Passed 10+2 or PUC examination (or appearing in 2017) with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as main subjects from a recognized board.
• Candidates who have studied Biology, Electronics, Computer Science, Statistics, etc., in addition to PCM are also eligible to apply.
• It is important to have secured a first class or 60% or equivalent grade in a qualifying examination.
• SC/ST Candidates have to score only passing marks in the examination.
• Additionally, one will be required to also qualify in one of the national entrance exams such as JEE Main, JEE Advanced, KVPV or NEET.
