Yes, you can pursue BCA even after studying commerce in class 12th. Dear Student,

Yes, you can pursue BCA even after studying commerce in class 12th. Actually, the eligibility for BCA varies from college to college. Like some Universities make Mathematics or Computer Science as compulsory for getting admission. However, some Universities just need a minimum aggregate percentage in class 12th. There are students who are studying commerce with mathematics or commerce with computer science, they are eligible for giving entrance test of any University for BCA.

The general eligibility for BCA is as follows:

  • Passing marks in 10+2 standard in any stream from a Recognized Board of Education.
  • A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English) or equivalent
  • A personal interview may be taken depending upon the institute.
