Dear Student,
Thank you for your question. First of all, it is absolutely okay to start now, even if you have not prepared anything yet. Many students crack the Christ University Entrance Test (CUET 2026) with focused preparation in the last few months. Coming from a commerce background without Maths in 11th and 12th is not a barrier, as the exam tests only basic maths (till class 10 level) along with other sections.
Here is how you should start your preparation:
Start with understanding the exam pattern. CUET includes sections such as English, General Knowledge, Reasoning/Logical Thinking, and Basic Maths till the 10th level. Since you are worried about maths, begin with easy chapters and build confidence. Focus on topics like percentages, profit and loss, averages, ratio and proportion, speed and distance, and simple arithmetic. Start reading newspapers daily or use mobile apps to stay updated with current affairs and GK topics. Practice logical reasoning questions because this section is all about practicing patterns, puzzles, and analytical thinking.
Even though you are starting late, make a simple routine. Study at least 3 to 4 hours daily and spend more time on weaker sections. Take mock tests every week to understand your progress and improve speed.
Coming from a commerce background, you already have an advantage in English and GK sections. Strengthen these areas to balance your overall performance.
If you stay consistent, focused, and practice smartly, you can do really well in the exam. If you want, I can share a weekly study plan and topic-wise resources to help you begin.
All the best.
