Dear Student,

The Engineering courses related to Computer Science available at Flinders University, Adelaide are the Bachelor of Engineering (Computer and Network Systems) (Honours) and the Bachelor of Engineering (Software) (Honours).

To gain admission into these courses, the following eligibility criteria need to be satisfied.

Subject Test Requirements: 75% marks if your secondary education is from an Indian Central Board or 80% marks if it is from an Indian State Board.

Standardised Language Test Requirements:

Test NameRequired Score
TOEFL6
IELTS (internet-based)72
PTE50

How to Apply:

Once you have selected the course you wish to pursue and the eligibility criteria have been satisfied, you need to follow the following steps for admission.

  1. Apply Online: Once you have applied, you need to wait for a confirmation mail from the university. You will have to pay an AUD$70 application fee at this point.

  2. Submit Supporting Documents: Documents such as High School and Senior Secondary School transcripts will need to be submitted once the university has confirmed your admission. You will also need to submit your TOEFL/IELTS or PTE language test scores. All of the documents are uploaded on the online portal, the access to which you will obtain while filling the application form.

  3. Wait for Approval: The university may take up to six weeks to go through and assess your application before it comes back to you with an offer.

  4. Receive Offer of Admission: If your application gets accepted, you will receive an Offer of Admission from the university.

  5. Apply for Visa: The university's International Student Services will need to be contacted to receive the forms essential to apply for an Australian student visa. The ISS will also help you with any difficulties you may face during the visa application process.

  6. Apply for Financial Aid: Students who have gained admission into Finders University's undergraduate programmes are eligible to receive financial aid.

Cost of Study

The course fee for both the above-mentioned courses is around $37,00 for 2020. This fee increases every year and it may be quite a bit more than what you pay when you take admission. For eg., the course fee for 2019 is $34,500.

Additionally, the university recommends that students calculate their expenses by including $20,000 to $25,000 per annum as the cost of living in Adelaide in their expenses.

Financial Aid

Unfortunately, there are no scholarships available for international students taking admission into undergraduate courses at Flinders University. However, you can apply for Subsidized as well as Unsubsidized Loans to support your study. Loans are also available for parents to support your study.

You visa also allows you to find part-time work up to 40 hours per fortnight during the tenure of your course.

P.S. - Since you mentioned that you are from a financially weak background, we recommend that you also take a look into the Bachelor of Computer Science course at Flinders University. Its course fee is much less when compared to the Engineering courses and it is a 3-year course, which means you will be spending less money and be prepared to start working 1 year early.

To get admission-related assistance, you can fill our Common Application Form or reach out to us at 1800-572-9877.

Thank you
