To secure admission in B.Sc. Physics at LPU you must satisfy the following eligibility conditions: Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English, Physics and Maths) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium.

LPU offers B.Sc. (Hons.) Physics and duration of this course is 3 years. Eligibility Criteria of this course in LPU is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English, Physics and Maths) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North-East states and Sikkim candidates or Defence Personnel and their Dependents or Wards of Kashmiri Migrants) As per the eligibility criteria of this course Maths is mandatory subject to qualify in your previous qualification to take admission.

Dear student,

In order to pursue B.Sc Physics - it is essential for you to have either Biology or Maths at the +2 level for admission in the majority of colleges in India.

However, we suggest, that you rethink your decision if you are planning to pursue B.Sc Physics and at the same time you do not have keen interest in Mathematics. We say so because good mathematical acumen is fundamental to be able to do well in B.Sc Physics.
