Dear student,

After your ITI course, you can pursue a career in mechanical trade or electrical trade in any public sector or private sectors or in Indian Defence services, Airforce and Railways etc. depending on whether you have passed ITI (Mechanical Trade) or ITI (Electrical Trade). If you have studied Mechanical Trade, you can also set up a fabrication workshops, winding shops or motor garages or in case you have studied Electrical Trade, you can set up an Electrical Winding shop for Motors and Transformers, repairing workshops, operate generators etc as well, if you have the capital for investment. If you want to pursue Engineering field, you can also consider Surveyor, Turner, Hardware fitter, Mechanics, etc. and if you have studied non-engineering fields, then you can opt for Craftsman, Fashion technology, Horticulture, Insurance Agent, etc.

If you want to study further, you can specialised short term courses in Advanced Training Institute (ATI) or opt for Diploma in Engineering. Interestingly, there is a huge demand for skilled workers in foreign countries like the UAE, Australia etc.
