The journalism program at LPU offers an in-depth knowledge of the media world and necessary skills to work in the field efficiently. The journalism programs are designed to expose students to all dimensions of Print, Electronic, and New Age Media. Focus on enhancing technical skills of reporting, news design software, video editing, photography, etc. which are necessary for the field of Journalism and Mass Communication. The faculty comprises former journalists and academicians. They have good links, knowledge to equip their students with the necessary skills to be successful in their respective fields. The LPU has state-of-the-art labs and studios for journalism and film production courses. This course is an examination of the effect and impact of mass media on contemporary life and society. The courses focus on teaching skills like photography and its technique, enhancing the overall style of the writing, elements of graphic designing in the print media and Industry needs students who can design for print as well as online media utilising various tools and technologies. Other modules give an insight into the press laws and ethics, constitutional laws governing the mass media, constitution and government, leadership and governance process, newspaper managerial aspects of newspapers, and structure of newspaper organisation. The LPU students bagged a package of 10. 7 lpa this year. The average package was 3.2 lpa. LPU Students are working with media companies like Asian News International, Vistara, News-X, Radio Mirchi, Zee Media, Indian Express, Book my show, Thomson Digital, Xentrix Studio, Code Brew Labs, Cube Digital, and many many more

Hello

To be eligible for any mass communication course one should have scored minimum 40 percent in class 12th from any stream. Assuming that you are eligible I would say that mass communication is a very wide and one of the fastest growing fields in the world today. According to the reports and surveys, it is safe to say that media in India will only continue to grow and develop.
