Dear Student,
It depends for the organisations you want to apply. If you are looking forward to applying for government offices then you will probably need a bachelor's degree in tourism management. But there are organisations that do not require formal degrees for the post of tourist information officer.
You can work as a tourist information officer without any formal qualifications and get training on the job. You will generally need to be very familiar with the local area and its attractions. Entry into this occupation may be improved by obtaining a qualification in tourism or a related area. The ability to speak a second language may improve your employment prospects.
It all depends on where you want to apply!. Make sure that you check the eligibility criteria of the organisations you are applying for.
