Dear Student,
Aerospace Engineering is the primary branch of Engineering concerned with the design, construction, and science of aircraft and spacecraft. It is divided into two major and overlapping branches: Aeronautical Engineering and Astronautical Engineering.
Though the two-degree programs teach similar engineering principles, there is a critical distinction between designing for air and space.
While aerospace engg. includes modules on spacecraft dynamics, space propulsion, etc., aeronautical does not cover these courses.
Moreover, Aeronautical Engineering deals with the aeroplanes which are been operated inside the earth’s atmosphere.
Aerospace engineering deals with the space-crafts/ rockets/space shuttles which are launched and operated outside the Earth’s atmosphere.
So, depending on what interests you, and what you will enjoy doing – we suggest that you pick that field.
