RBSE 12th Exam Pattern 2023: Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (RBSE or BSER Board) is the board that conducts the 12th board exams for class 12th in Rajasthan. The exam every year is conducted as per the pattern set by the Rajasthan Class 12 Exam Pattern 2022-23. Changes Introduced in RBSE 12th Exam Pattern
Rajasthan has introduced some changes in the Rajasthan Class 12 Exam Pattern 2022-23. These changes have been brought to ease the difficulty for the students. The board exams will be conducted as per the new pattern as decided by the board.
Major Changes in RBSE 12th Exam Pattern 2022-23
Some of the major changes that are to be brought by the board in Rajasthan Class 12 Exam Pattern 2022-23 are listed as below:
- The Arts, Science, Commerce Stream Question Pattern will have Theory, Objective Question Pattern Style.
- The Regular, Private, Reappear External students will have to follow both General and Vocational course for the board exam pattern.
- The overall syllabus for Rajasthan class 12th exam has been reduced by the board.
- The objective type questions section has been added to the question paper which need to be attempted on OMR sheet by the students.
Why is Rajasthan Board Bringing These Changes?
Rajasthan board is bringing these changes to the exam pattern with the purpose of easing the difficulty level for the students and to help them prepare well for the exam. The main purpose of the board to bring these changes in the Rajasthan Class 12 Exam Pattern 2022-23 is to provide an extensive assessment criteria for the students while also reducing the load of study on them. RBSE 12th Exam Pattern 2022-23
It is important for the candidates to understand the Rajasthan Class 12th Exam Pattern 2022-23 in detail so that they can perform better in the exam. The Rajasthan class 12th exam will be conducted in the pen and paper format (offline mode). The total duration for each of the paper will be 3 hours and 15 minutes. The exam will be conducted for different subjects which are listed under Arts, Science, and Commerce stream. The overall exam will be divided into two components: theory part and practical part. The theory exam will have 70 marks for optional subjects and 30 marks will be awarded for practical exams. The compulsory subjects (Hindi & English) will be conducted for a total of 100 marks. The objective questions will have 4 options out of which the candidates will have to select one correct option. The candidates will have to attempt the objective questions on an OMR sheet provided. RBSE 12th Exam Pattern - Marking Scheme
It is also important for all the students to be aware of the marking scheme for Rajasthan Class 12 Exam Pattern 2022-23 in order to prepare well for the exam. Listed below are important points related to marking scheme as per Rajasthan Class 12 Exam Pattern 2022-23:
- The overall score for optional subjects will be counted as 70 marks for theory and 30 marks for practical.
- For compulsory subjects like Hindi and English, 100% weightage will be given to marks obtained in theory exam.
- It is compulsory for all students to obtain a minimum aggregate of 33% in each subject and overall in order to pass the exam.
- There will be 0 marks awarded for incorrect answers or unattempted answers.
RBSE 12th Exam Pattern for Practical Assessment
The overall marks for Rajasthan class 12th board exam will be counted on the basis of theory + practical exam scores. The practical exams will be conducted separately for separate subjects. The overall marks for the practical exams will be 30 marks for (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography and Psychology) and 20 marks for (English, Hindi, Business Studies, Accountancy, History, and Political Science). This means that the practical exam will have a weightage of 30% in the overall marks. The practicals will be conducted at the school level and will be considered as the internal assessment. The schedule for practical exams will also be released by the board on the official website. The overall marking of the practical exam will be done on the basis of practical conducted, result generated, practical copy submitted, etc.
Rajasthan Class 12th Grading System
The marks for Rajasthan Class 12th exam will be converted as grades which will be awarded to the students. The grading will be done on the basis of 9 point grading system which will be awarded to each subject and overall. The grading system for Rajasthan Class 12 Exam Pattern 2022-23 will rank the students on the basis of their performance in the exam.
