  • Valid government identification cards, like Aadhar card or driving license

  • Confirmed and verified confirmation of admission to the foreign university

  • Visa

  • Passport

US Universities' Vaccination Requirements for International Students

Here are the latest updates about the Covid-19 vaccination requirements for US universities:

  • Non-US citizens have to show proof of full Covid-19 vaccination before they travel from any foreign country to the US.

  • A negative Covid-19 report is required.

  • The CDC (US Centre for Disease Control and Preventions) has announced Jansen/Johnson & Johnson will be accepted for single-dose vaccines and Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca, Covaxin, Covishield, BIBP/Sinopharm, Sinovac, Novavax/Covovax for double dose vaccines.

  • Court order has been on non-requirement of masks in public transport conveyance and at transportation hubs. Although CDC recommends wearing masks in indoor public transportation.

  • It is also recommended to get tested for Covid-19 after 3-5 days of arrival in the U.S.A.

  • A dozen of US universities have re-instated the indoor mask policy due to a rise in Covid-19 cases.

UK Universities' Vaccination Requirements for International Students

Here are the latest updates about the Covid-19 vaccination requirements issued by UK Universities:

  • The travel restrictions in the UK have been removed to encourage the influx of foreigners into the country.

  • When Indian students are travelling to the UK, they do not need to complete the UK passenger locator form before travelling, no Covid-19 test will be required before or after arriving in the UK and the students do not require to quarantine themselves upon arrival. The rules are applicable to both vaccinated and non-vaccinated international students.

  • You will have to follow the Covid-19 rules if your transport providers require you to follow so.

Canadian Universities' Vaccination Requirements for International Students

Here are the latest updates about the Covid-19 vaccination requirements for international students issued by universities in Canada:

  • Testing before entry is not required for fully vaccinated students travelling to Canada by air, land or water.

  • A person will be considered fully vaccinated if have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine or a mix of 2 accepted vaccines or 1 dose of the Janssen/Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

  • They must have no sign of Covid-19.

  • Everyone has to upload proof of vaccination in ArriveCAN. Using ArriveCAN at least 72 hours before arriving in Canada is mandatory.

  • If the border security officers inform you that you have been randomly selected for mandatory testing, then you will have to get testing done.

  • It is no longer mandatory to wear masks in public spaces or report symptoms of Covid-19.

New Zealand Universities' Vaccination Requirements for International Students

Here are the latest Covid-19 vaccination requirements for international students travelling to New Zealand:

  • The border of New Zealand is opening in phases and people are being let into the country.

  • The vaccination of international students planning to study in New Zealand is mandatory. 

  • The list of approved vaccines in the country includes Moderna, Sputnik V, AstraZeneca/Covishield, Covaxin, Covovax, Novavax and Janssen.

  • The travellers who are coming by air must complete a New Zealand Traveller Declaration prior to check-in.

  • The travellers will also have to take a rapid antigen test on the first and fifth or sixth day of arrival.

Ireland Universities' Vaccination Requirements for International Students

Here are the latest updates about the Covid-19 vaccination requirements for international students issued by universities in Ireland:

  • All Covid-19 restrictions have been removed in Ireland.

  • There is no need to fill up the passenger locator form.

  • No proof of vaccination or recovery or pre-entry Covid-19 test is needed.

  • There is no need to quarantine on arrival in Ireland.

Australian Universities' Vaccination Requirements for International Students

Given below are the Covid-19 vaccine requirements for international students in Australia:

  • Travellers must declare their Covid-19 vaccination status. 

  • The airline and the border staff will need to be given the vaccination proofs.

  • Pre-arrival Covid-19 test is no longer required.

  • It is necessary to wear a mask during flight.

  • Testing and quarantine requirements depend on the states.
